Yes she did - and she would never believe it. She didn’t think people liked her … it turns out - many of them where in Awe of her … .isn’t that the way! I remember one weekend she was crying and I walked in on her … she never cried - so I knew it had to be something to cry about - I said what is wrong honey - and she said … no one likes me - I don’t get asked over like Amanda does … and I told her that you don’t know what people’s lives are like behind close doors; I told her anyone you ask to sleep over or do something with is over here before you can put the phone down … don’t fret honey … it isn’t you!!! BROKE MY HEART! Few weeks later she was gone.
**

Oh wow, that just breaks my heart! 😦 **

Moe:

I loved that poem: Mother’s Crown. It made me cry. I can just imagine how Our Blessed Mother felt (and how all moms feel!). Of course, Her sorrow does not compare to ours. But our hearts hurt just as badly. God bless you, Moe!:angel1:

Moe, I just came upon your thread. My heart breaks for you. My daughter is 13 and the light of my life, I can’t even fathom your pain. I have done a lot of work with people who are grieving and I always say the same thing. It is not something that you ever get over, and that is okay. Each will be different, some good, some bad, some intolerable, some tolerable, but never the same. You will learn to manage your grief, which shows it is not something you get over, but learn to work with. I pray for the Grace of God to move through you and your family. I am so glad you have found such a great outlet here. You and your family are in my prayers.

I found this quote on the Internet, it really got to me:
The Most Important Person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral, she need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral-a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby’s body. . . The angels have not been blessed with such a grace. They cannot share in God’s creative miracle to bring new saints to Heaven. Only a human mother can. Mothers are closer to God the Creator than any other creature; God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation. . . What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this: to be a mother?
-Joseph Cardinal Mindszenty
God speed…

Moe, my 10 year old son came home yesterday from school really upset. I could tell he was fighting tears when he came in the house. I sat him down and got the story out of him. Apparently there is a kid at school that’s been picking on him and giving him a really hard time. I think it’s been going on most of the school year. DS was really depressed and felt like “nobody liked him”.

So I told him about you the story about KK. I showed him your post yesterday about KK feeling that nobody liked her at school and yet she had no clue how much the kids liked her and how much they would soon grieve when she was gone. I think it really made him feel better and helped him realize that things aren’t always as bad as they seem when your growing up and he’s not the only kid that feels unliked. He perked up after that…thanks to KK.

See, she’s still doing good deeds on earth. 👍

**Thank you — but now the angels are blessed to have my baby girl with them - perhaps longer than I had her 😦

Thank you for the prayers, quote, love and reaching out … I so appreicate it and God Speed to you!

Always, Moe**

**Thanks for letting me know - it amazes me that she is still so prevalent in our lives … I am so happy that perhaps your son really got what you told him … tell him that she is a saint in heaven and he can talk to her always — perhaps she can be his patron saint of bullies 🙂 … not official of course.

McKayla always was nice to everyone, even the bullies - if you read her post you would see how much of her peers looked up to her.

Her teacher told me the other night - one boy in her class that everyone made fun of - everyone - except her. She would say hi to him and sit next to him and join him in group projects. When he heard that she died at camp (he wasn’t on that trip) he told his mother He had to go to her wake and funeral because of how nice she was to him … no one else gave him the time of day … yet here my beautiful girl, smart, athletic, talented, accomplished took the time to say - Hi to someone who felt insignificant … even though at times she felt it too … God was working through her then … but I can’t imagine being her … as beautiful and amazing as she was … feeling insignificant … yet she did … the lessons we are taught by our kids … How Good Is God … Love you and hugs to your son for me … **

**It made me cry too … and every day I ask God to take my pain and put it to use somewhere … I offer it up …a lthough it doesn’t take it away … and I ask him to use me for some reason …

Life is so very hard … yet we are still here putting one foot in front of the other … only by the grace of God go I 🙂

Love you loads Mom For Truth xoxoxoxo**

Moe:

I don’t think you understand how much you have/are teaching all of us about your experience. You are steadfast, loving, loyal, persevering, kind and persistent. You have taught all of us what it is to “hang in there”, even when things seem hopeless. That is the worst feeling, I believe. But here you are: 1 yr. + later, and miracle of all miracles, you’re still loving your daughter (both of them) and your husband, and existing. That’s an awful lot, I’d say! We take one day at a time. One step at a time, sometimes one second at a time. But God’s love is shining through you, Moe. You have given us hope. Isn’t that what Our Holy Father’s visit was about? You are a true witness to that virtue. God bless you - loving you and praying for you always!

Much love,

Wow, Moe, she was really a special kid! It really takes a lot of character and guts to go against the crowd at that age and befriend the “unpopular” kid. Take pride in that because somewhere along the way, you did something right. She learned to be kind from you. You have succeeded as a mother. 😉

Often people will say things when they are of faith to try to ease the pain of the person who is suffering. I don’t think it is wrong to want your child with you. I would want my daughter with me. That is human.

Thanks … but I can’t take the credit - must be the Holy Spirit!

You are steadfast, loving, loyal, persevering, kind and persistent. You have taught all of us what it is to “hang in there”, even when things seem hopeless. That is the worst feeling, I believe.

This past year + puts — walking in the valley of tears — into a new perspective … it is hell … and I still ask God - why McKayla - why such an amazing child … I am sitting in on the Grand Jury and I hear and see such horrible things and people and I say - God – why them … why not them instead of my McKayla … not too steafast now am I 😦

But here you are: 1 yr. + later, and miracle of all miracles, you’re still loving your daughter (both of them) and your husband, and existing. That’s an awful lot, I’d say! We take one day at a time. One step at a time, sometimes one second at a time.

Oh if only that was true … I am weak my friend … if you only had an idea of how sad i am and how much I cry. Yes, I have moved forward … I HAVE NOT MOVED ON - I don’t think I ever will … how can I when half of me is in heaven … I miss her so much — life is so unbearable at times - yet … I look at Amanda and I have hope … and yes - HOpe is what it is about … and I pray for Peace as well … for if to have but a few moments of peace … wow - that would be wonderful!

God bless you - loving you and praying for you always!

Love to you as well and THANK YOU MY FRIEND … for keeping me in prayer and touching base from time to time - I can’t even tell you what that does for me - it brings me the peace I desperately pray for xoxoxox Hugs and loving you from NH!

Much love,

**SHE WAS HEAVEN ON EARTH …

She was truly special and probably not for this world - that is perhaps why she was only here for a short time.

I miss her … I truly miss her terribly.

Love and hugs xoxoxo**

Hi Moe- Still praying for your family. Just wanted you to know how often you come to mind. I can almost feel the sorrow in your posts and at times I think of this…when one suffers, we all suffer. Praying for peace for you, often during the day, always at Eucharistic Adoration and when receiving Holy Communion and when praying the Holy Rosary. My heart breaks for your pain. I truly wish I could somehow take some of your suffering and bear it for you, I will always keep you and your family in my prayers, the other day, I even asked your KK to pray for you after reading one of your posts. She probably is a Saint and she can pray for you too. May our dear Lord and His Blessed Mother comfort you and bring you peace.

Me too. It is a hard thing we cannot even imagine unless we have been there. I decorated my Chris’s grave today…and asked McKayla to intercede for poor Chris. He had such a short painful life, and his suicide has just devastated us all, but she was such a loving and helpful child, I know God hears her prayers.

I am praying for your Chris, too. You have also endured so much. You must be a great comfort to Moe. You and your family are in my prayers as well as Chris. God bless you.

Me too maggieodae, God bless you as you bless all of us so much, your writings are amazing and show such great strength and love of God. We watched St. Rita’s life on EWTN and people such as you and Moe and St. Rita show us how to endure through such painful sufferings, thank you both for your true love and faith in God.

Hi Moe- Still praying for your family.

Thank you-again! It blows my mind how generous people are with their prayers … I am as always humbled.

It is because of your generosity that I am able to get out of bed in the moring - for sure.

My heart breaks for your pain.

**The Mont Vernon Garden Club came over yesterday morning to plant in McKayla’s Garden (I will post pictures when it is all in bloom). In any event - one of the Gardners shared with me that she had lost a child 8 1/2 months into the pregnancy. She told me that out of all the scenese she has watched in movies … the one in Steel Magnolia’s often struck her that Sally Fields, knows and feels the pain of parents who have lost their children … it is a very emotional scene …exactly how I feel … I couldn’t put it better into words.

**Yes, she is a saint - I am sure of it … and thank you … I have accepted the fact that she is gone … but that she is so much in a better place. That she loves me so much more now - Greg on the other hand - thinks she is begging God to come back home … so, He definately needs the prayers … he is so much worse now than when it first happened - I suppose he thought he had to keep it all together …

CAF - we are so broken … we are a broken family and I just don’t know what to do - if anything - to fix us … the pain is just so much a part of our ever breathes.

Hugs and hugs and hugs **

Me too. It is a hard thing we cannot even imagine unless we have been there. I decorated my Chris’s grave today…

Reading these words just felt like a sword was put through our hearts … imagine decorating our kids grave … it is just not right - it is not fair … it is wrong that they aren’t with us …

and asked McKayla to intercede for poor Chris. He had such a short painful life, and his suicide has just devastated us all, but she was such a loving and helpful child, I know God hears her prayers.

**Chris is loved by God … and it is my prayer that his Mercifulness saved Chris. I know what we are taught about suiside … but having been in the despair and turmoil that I felt and still feel this past year … I can see why someone who was in so much despair would want to end it … the pain is like a shadow … you can’t run from it …

I haven’t tried to kill myself, because it is my faith that tells me I must endure to the end if I want to be with McKayla … and I do … I want to be with her … I can’t and I won’t jepadize that.

God loves Chris … He is our Heavenly Father … He is protecting Chris … anyone that kills themselves are not in their right mind … how can they be?

Praying for peace … for you and your family. I feel so blessed because McKayla was such an amazing child … people are still remembering her … and there are so many things happening still from the communities that don’t want her forgotten. Chris propably doesn’t have that … and I feel guilty sometimes being so sad about McKayla being gone — yet, we are so blessed to live in a community that is so caring and loving and want to never forget her. Hearing her name is just about the most beautiful thing to our ears.

Loving you all … **

Yes she has … God is so good … so good is God!
