I’m good, thank you. Just relaxing and taking a break from school. I just finished a huge, stressful project and have three more weeks ahead of me of more projects, tests, and FINALS.THANKS MY FRIEND - HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY? ONE DAY CLOSER TO MCKAYLA!!!
So today, I’m lounging on the chair with the laptop, lol.
One more day for all of us! I also count down to Heaven. But then I have to remember that there’s so much ahead of us to look forward to on the way… grandbabies, great-grandbabies (maybe
). There are still many fragrant roses to sniff on the way to that Heavenly garden!

What a loving and beautiful way your community honors your daughter, she had to have touched the hearts of so many. Sounds like her smile just won their hearts (reading through your pages of her.) Your last day with her has to be such a beautiful memory for you all, sounds so much like the kind of day everyone wishes their last one could be with their loving family, so loving, so kind, so thoughtful. You and your family are so special and loved by so many, her friends sound like such special people who will never forget her either. Will be keeping your friend Sonja in my prayers as well. I’m good, thank you. Just relaxing and taking a break from school. I just finished a huge, stressful project and have three more weeks ahead of me of more projects, tests, and FINALS.
I remember the days - Greg and I went back to get our Marketing Degree (BS) back in 1998 - 1999 … we only have a year + credits we needed … it was stressful - with two babies too - but it was one of the best things for us!
So today, I’m lounging on the chair with the laptop, lol.
Mandy does that every day! She loves her laptop …

She never really knew how much she was loved by her friends … one or two of them - but not what has been happening this past year … I think she would be very surprised - and she wouldn’t like it … she didn’t like to be the center of attention

**We got a call yesterday from the Principal of Amherst Middle School.
McKayla would have graduated this year … He told us that they would like to give McKayla an Honorary Diploma … and asked if Amanda would be willing to accept it for her sister.
I can’t tell you that I haven’t stopped crying …I just hope her class mates are OK with that — it is such a time of celebration … I would hate for them to be sad at the thought that McKayla could have been with them.

I think that is a beautiful gesture of the school to offer a diploma for McKayla. I don’t think it would hurt the other kids to have it presented at graduation to your daughter. I think it will make kids “think”, that’s all. Wow - I can’t believe she would’ve graduated this year. I know you’re still hurting badly, and I send up prayers always.
One day, the pain will get a little easier…

How nice of the school. I think if Amanda is able (I don’t know if I would be able to) that it is a lovely idea. The kids will already be thinking that she should be there with them, and yes it may make them sad, but I assure you no sadder then they are already. This was something they went through together, it may actually help these kids as class if they end middle school celebrating the good and remembering the bad, as they start anew in high school.

I think its wonderful that they are going to honor her that way. I dont think it would make anyone feel sad in the sense that they aren’t already. I think its honoring a life and a set of academic challenges that she already faced, and that everyone would know that if she were here would have accomplished to its completion. What a wonderful idea and I hope that Amanda can do it - maybe if she cant, you could go up or your husband? Just an idea.
