Oh my goodness! This brought tears to my eyes! Oh if only I could bear your pain for a day and give you peace! I am so sad for you. God bless you and comfort you in your sorrow. I will keep praying for you

my prayers go out to you.

Hi Moe,
Glad to see the new thread, I am so happy to hear that you are doing the Confirmation Class. Just to volunteer to do it must have been a great hurdle for you, but you will be blessed so much for doing it.🙂

How is Amanda? did she get her horse? as you know you are all always in my prayers.

**I had too Nordar … because Amanda really wanted me to … so I thought I better …

She is so happy Norda … she loves high school … just got her progress report … five A+ and 4 A’s … she has been asked to work at the place she is taking riding lessons because she has such a great work ethic … and it will pay for her riding lessons.

Barn isn’t ready yet — so a few more months until she gets a horse.

Loving you,

Moe**

**Yes, it is great. I don’t see her grief much though … but she shows no signs of worry for me … she is a love … our light in this hell that we live. **

That is good, but I would add a word of caution…siblings sometime try to cover up their grief so as not to worry the parents. Kids are resilient but they grieve different from parents. I would recommend some good grief council for the whole family.

Laney seemed fine after Sadie’s death…it was much later that her problems with grief came out. In the family grief counseling, a year later, we discovered she blamed herself. She thought she caused Sadie’s death by giving her a French fry on the 5th day after Sadie’s surgery.

Thanks my friend … thank you so much!
You are in my prayers every morning, and night. I call your daughter by name, along with others who have left this earth too soon. Your bravery is so admirable…I admire you, very much. Please know, I’m praying for you and your family, always.

**Thank you soooo much whatevergirl … I am not brave … I do not even know how i get out of bed in the morning … I miss HER so very much and there are days I do not know if I can continue without her …

Sadness abounds, especially with the holidays approaching … Halloween was always so magical for our family … KK’s last year bag of candy is still full hanging on her chair.

Life is so hard and seems to be getting so difficult … I am not sure how we will survive this …

Please please continue praying for us … loving you, Moe**

**Thanks Maggieoda … she has been seeing a councilor … I am watching her closely … she does tell me she feels KK right with her 24/7 … I wish I did - she hasn’t even come to me in my dreams … why? she has all my sisters … all of them telling me that she tells them to help my mommy …

I miss her and ache for her … how could this be happening … we wanted our children so much … Please continue to pray for us …

Love Moe**

Sometimes as caretakers we forget that we to need to be taken care of. If there was a way, all of us here would hold you and give you lots of hugs. But instead, I can offer my morning rosary for you and your family.

Thank you Kathy … it just hurts so bad not having her with us … a part of us died with her … and as we head towards the holidays … I truly do not know how we can physically handle it … but I will place my trust in HIM … although we placed our trust in HIM to bring her home safe from camp … and look where it got us 😦

Of course we are dealing with 7+ months … and the natural numbness that our brain give us when we suffer such a horrible death is gone … and must face it on our own … and I am truly not sure I can do it … but I will try … I know I must if I want to be united with my beautiful McKayla … my reflection of me … it is just so sad 😦

That is good she has a councilor. It will help. But in the end there is no way through grief except to do it. I wish it were not so, but it is. It takes much time, sometimes years to get over the worst of it. In the end, we never forget and the hole in our heart remains a lifetime…but it does get better Moe. I promise!

It’s less than a month since my Christopher’s death and so we are still dealing with the initial stages. His sister Leigan is not doing well at all. She is in the hospital with UTI infection from being so run down by the grief. 😦 But, we pull together as best we can as a family, and keep our eye’s on God’s Promise that one day we will understand, and He shall wipe away all of our tears.

HUGS! And Prayers continue Moe for you and your family.

I only hope and pray that I am strong enough to be able to wait that long. Part of me died when she died … life can and will never be the same 😦

This quote totally hit me hard from you, because it represents everything we all believe. We believe that everything will be ok and sometimes it just isnt. But you know I read this sentence of yours several times and what finally hit me (maybe it was the holy spirit) was that …she was brought HOME safe from camp after all. It just hit me all of a sudden, and I thought I would share it…I dont know for some reason its like when you see something one way and then all of a sudden you see the same thing a different way.

I hope that one day your world will go from a black and white picture back to a colored one, I’m sure that right now everything just looks, feels, tastes, and TRULY IS just a shade of grey as you walk with Grief so intimately close to you. I hope that as time passes, Grief will walk further and further away from you. I think you will always see him, but maybe he’ll be walking far away at some point…

Wishing you all of God’s peace…

I can’t imagine. I shared with you the loss of my parents…but there is something about losing a child… Cannot fathom the pain. I just shared your post with my husband, and he is so very very sorry…he just sat in silence, remembering me sharing your thread with him before…and he said that he cannot imagine either. That it would take God lifting us up daily to even function. I suppose He lifts us up daily, no matter what our state in life, but I know that you have angels and God’s grace surrounding you…helping you through.

My prayers, tears, hugs, and heart go out to you tonight, and always.

It has been sometime since I posted, but I do remember you and McKayla in my prayers. You can now count on her praying for you and your family. God bless you and keep you in peace.

**I know what you mean Vester444 … we all are journey here on this earth to get to our heavenly journey … for some reason … McKayla’s journey was cut short.

My husband doesn’t believe that we all have a plan according to our Father … I do … but when I look at my McKayla’s life … she was only 13 … what in the world would have been her role? Yes, she was beautiful, perfect in everyway, talented, smart, warm and loving … but what could she have possibly accomplished for his greater good at age 13? **

**Me too — it isn’t even Grey - is is black most times … with light shining through when I see Amanda and of course my husband Greg. We are all just so sad right now — holidays are approaching and anxieties are heightened … I pray that I am strong enough to face them without a part of me … for a part of us died that cold - snowy day on Mar 19.

I have a good friend that wrote me and said:

“Figuring out how to live with joy and sorrow sitting side-by-side us in our lives is certainly a long road. Step-by-step, day-by-day. …Keep walking with your friends and facing each day. Think about what brings you strength and pull these memories out during those dark moments you are bound to have. And when that seems impossible, take strength from your friends – we are always here. We will make it through this hurdle, mothers, side-by-side, on this path we have no choice but to walk down. An entire village of friends is beside you.**

I try and reflect on that often - because we have been blessed with so many people who love us - even some who don’t know us offering prayers and masses - still getting meals delivered … just a very humbling experience.

There were over 1100 people at her wake and about 300 people at her funeral Mass … and many people have said it was a religious experience. It was the most perfect Funeral I have ever (sadly) attended. We, Greg and I, took great care and planning her funeral …

God’s peace to you Vester … and thank you for your thoughts and insights … they are profound.

Love MOe.

Wishing you all of God’s peace…

Vester
