😦

Why does health insurance include abortifacients?😦

On another note, who likes higher taxes? šŸ˜‰

Hell have to enforce it, because taxpayers will be footing the expensive bill of those who refuse to get health insurance and show up at hospital ERs.

Jim
Is the government going to start paying the unpaid bills of people who go to the ER? Because they don’t now.

Why? Obama Care doesn’t pay for abortions.

Jim
Single-payer is signed, sealed, and delivered. No one will be providing private insurance in a few years. If you’re not in the exchange, you’re out of business. The gov’t will absolutely be paying for abortions.

Why? Obama Care doesn’t pay for abortions.

Jim
You can get insurance to cover abortions by paying a separate amount, which if you have a policy which covers abortion, you *have *to pay. The thing is, they don’t tell you if the policy includes that or not until *after *you get it.

HHS Mandate Lawsuits Charge Forward as Only Remaining Challenge to ā€œObamacareā€
The Supreme Court’s ruling this morning on the Obama Administration’s health care law means that the numerous legal challenges against the HHS mandate brought by hospitals, universities, businesses, and other organizations will move forward. The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, a nonprofit public interest law firm, has led the charge against this controversial provision, which forces religious institutions to violate their deeply held religious beliefs or pay severe fines. These lawsuits are the only remaining legal challenges to the health care law.

I thought recent precedent showed that a sitting President doesn’t have to enforce a law he doesn’t like, regardless of a SCOTUS decision.

Could this be said that this is the largest tax hike?
Can’t be. Our president said over and over that it was not a tax hike. No matter that is the basis on which the administration argued the case before the SC.

Thanks a lot Obama supporters! The biggest tax hike in American history is because of you.

Really? I don’t recall there being anything about abortion in the ACA.
Obama+healthcare does not automatically equal abortions!
Ella is a proven abortofacient.

Ella is covered as part of ā€œFREEā€ ā€œcontraceptionā€.

Hooray for ā€œwomen’s health!ā€

I don’t understand. Was the contraceptive mandate upheld??? 😦
That was not part of this case. The last time the HHS mandate appeared in court, the government said that there was no sense litigating it until after the law came into effect.

You believe people will agree with being paid a tax because they will not buy insurance? Wait till their premiums go up, many employers are already dropping insurance. No program, social security etc. has ever become so unpopular over time, ObamaCare is unique.
It makes no difference if it is popular–it is passed and done. Period. This will not be rolled back because Romney won’t win.

But if you have insurance, which only makes sense to have anyway, your taxes will not go up.

FYI, Obama was talking about income and capital gains tax rates, which is different than this. Although the Justices said you can’t call it a penalty, but a tax, the effect is still a penalty.

Jim
Are you dizzy from spinning?

You threw in a caveat about ā€œjust makes senseā€ which doesn’t change the fact that a tax increase would occur. Sense depends on the person.

You parsed his words (income tax and capital gains tax) when he never said anything about them. Obama, 2008 - ā€œIf you are a family making less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes go up.ā€

And then you use doublespeak and say ā€œeven though they called it a tax, it is really a penalty.ā€

All around sad. You can pretend to be Obama, but you aren’t. those are his words, and despite you acrobatic attempts to defend everything he does, this is a pretty clear case of him being wrong.

Door 1 - If the fine is a penalty, it is illegal.

Door 2 - If it is a tax, it is a tax increase.

Pick a door.

Under the opinion written by Roberts, it is a tax. The president can no longer claim otherwise.
