I do. No means to leave unfortunately.
That is unfortunate, yes.

But if thousands of immigrants who likely have less than anyone on this board can cross our southern border each year, I think you, with a little plucky determination could figure out a way. Come on - one last burst of American “can do” spirit and then you are free of us forever! That’s got to be worth something?

If everyone who wanted to leave this country actually did and everyone who wanted to stay stayed, both sides would be a lot better off.

I sometimes genuinely think it would be better if the United States could peacefully fracture into three or four sovereign countries and people could just self sort.

So cops get to just freely shoot anyone exercising their second amendment rights? Or just the ones who dare stand up for racial justice?

There you go again. Pretending to have any actual details of what happened. Who freely shot whom?

Just stop. Patience is a virtue. There will be other incidents that will allow you to poo-poo on law enforcement soon enough.

I’ve been saying this for years. And I actually do know a couple of people, who aren’t exactly wealthy or with extraordinary skills, who did decide to leave, and went. One of them now sits in their new home country and continues to complain about the US government half the time when not complaining about the government where they now live. I think it’s their hobby.

I also noticed that all the people I know who said “that’s it, I’m leaving!” after the last election are all still sitting right here on US soil.

Another extrajudicial execution by US law enforcement against a political activist seeking justice for POC. We live in a fascist country.
Please submit your proof this was an extrajudicial execution. So, that’s just your opinion.

Did or did not the police kill a man rather arrest him for trial?

Witnesses told [The Olympian Newspaper that they saw two SUVs pull up and then heard 30 to 50 shots. Two people said they saw Reinoehl begin to fire when he got out of the car. They said officers returned fire.

I think it’s best to wait for the facts rather than rushing to judgement.

May God have mercy on his soul, and the soul of the man he killed.
I will say some prayers for them both and for the people of Portland.

State Aggression. Well, maybe the rest of us don’t believe suspected murderers should be allowed to walk the streets, wow.

I note you have also stated in other threads that the US is a fascist country and called our President a number of uncivil names. It seems clear you are expressing some extreme left views. I would gently suggest that you please be respectful of the rules of the Forum concerning divisive posts and respect for others’ views. Most of us here do not see the US as “fascist” or the police here as engaging in “murder of political dissidents” and, while opinions of the President are mixed, he is our brother in Christ and we aren’t supposed to post insults here.

No, the Federal agents are not allowed to shoot anyone they want to. They are allowed to use lethal force against a suspect who is shooting at them.

Would you rather this defender of racial justice just be able to shoot at law enforcement with?

he could have turned himself in or waited at the scene and claimed self-defense. running is not the recommended thing to do in this scenario
Better to let him escape than murder political dissidents. He could have been caught later. He was acting in self defense against state aggression.
would he kill again? the danger of letting people just go because they run.

I took down this post because a moderator edited my words. If broke a rule, please delete and tell me what the rule I broke was, thank you. Not giving that sort of information only reinforces the idea in posters’ minds that stuff like this is done on a whim and not by an objective standard.

I am not a conservative, since my goal is not to conserve but to remake. The cultural Marxists decided that speech they found politically unacceptable needed to be met with violence. While their violence simply counted as free expression. However since cultural Marxism is an inherently violent ideology, all cultural Marxist speech is either an explicit or implicit incitement to violence and should be dealt with accordingly by civilized societies.

Since when is calling for the arrest of a suspect - who had two warrants against him [the current one plus a failure to appear on an earlier offense] equate to a death squad?
Criticizing the Portland police for not arresting a guy who was in another state and your own jackboots had been staking out all day and in fact already assassinated is about as classic as authoritarian posturing goes: The local police are weak, but the secret police I control are strong and will kill the leftists and people of color you don’t like. And also, you know, that the police just started shooting at him.
lot of places to go that don’t cost much, i mean, it is your own advice
I have family members with disabilities who can’t travel and that I can’t abandon.
I know I’m going to regret wading into this, but what exactly is setting off your “zomg fascism!” alarm bells here? Law enforcement officers trying to apprehend someone suspected of murder?
The rapidly changing stories, the multiple fake witness stories that were published by newspapers and then edited out (feds desperately trying to create a cover story), the eyewitness posting on facebook that the guy was unarmed (before she even knew what or who this assassination was related to, she just saw police gun down an unarmed guy outside her house), the Orwellian language I already quoted, the language in the local sheriff department’s press release, the bizarre course of this entire “investigation”, everything about it really.
did engage in a gun fight with officres.
He did not.
Also know as the US Marshal Service.
Also known as a mishmash of deputized local goons so unafraid of legal consequences they confirmed they shot at him for no reason. This is the secret police.
No, the Federal agents are not allowed to shoot anyone they want to. They are allowed to use lethal force against a suspect who is shooting at them.
The deputized federal agents have said they started shooting at him because he was running away.
running is not the recommended thing to do in this scenario
It is also not a capital crime, or even a crime.

He did not.
The official said Reinoehl had pulled a gun during the encounter and was shot by law enforcement. The official could not discuss the matter publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.
There will be an investigation, many say there were many shots fired.
