We dont know that the police started shooting before he pulled his gun … you assert that - However, the but news reports have had little detail on the actual course of events and no official police statements indicate that …
Official police statements have claimed they started shooting at him because he was running away.

Link to that official statement?

Chad Smith and Chase Cutler, who were working on cars nearby Thursday, said an unmarked SUV had been parked on School Street for a while when that SUV and another converged on a man in a vehicle at the apartment complex. Smith and Cutler moved onto a grassy area about 50 yards away to watch what was happening. The man got out of his vehicle and began to fire what they believe was an assault rifle at the SUVs. They said they heard 40 or 50 shots, then officers returned fire, hitting the man.

“It reminded me of a video game,” Cutler said.

Yes, that is one of the obviously false witness statements. If he fired at police with an assault rifle it would be everywhere. Police claim he had a pistol and claim he pulled it after they started shooting, and that he didn’t fire it. Thurston County sheriff is in charge of the investigation, you can look up their statements.

You may be correct that it is fake … however, you dont post this supposed official statement either …

You like to make lots of claims however you dont substantiate those claims - ever. When others do you take one of two options - argue with every post / link or push an alternative view of what the posts / links clearly show.

Were you present when the original killing took place? Where you present when law enforcement attempted to arrest the man and he resisted and attempted to flee?

If not - you do not know any more than the rest of us who read the news - and draw conclusions as to what the news reports indicate and our eyes [and ears in the video] see and hear

It is a fact that the man has been arrested multiple times for a variety of offenses - not all of which had anything to do with antifa, riots, looting arson or peaceful protests.

He was caught with and had a gun confiscated at an earlier protest

He failed to appear in court for earlier crimes for which an arrest warrant was issued

He is accused of endangering his children driving while on drugs and or alcohol

He obtained another gun and per Oregon laws - that did not appear to be a legal purchase per my understanding of Oregon Statutes

He killed a man in PDX

He fled the scene and the state

A second warrant was issued for his arrest

He was in possession of a gun and resisted or attempted to avoid arrest

. . . .

The point is not to convince those types, just to prevent their false narrative from being the only one.

Thought this was interesting that Facebook took down the Patriot Prayer Group page.

Facebook took down Patriot Prayer’s pages as part of efforts to remove “violent social militias” from its social networks, spokesperson Andy Stone told Reuters .

I figure I don’t have to post things that have already been linked in the thread:
He ran to a station wagon parked outside the complex, Thurston County Sheriff’s Lt. Ray Brady told The Oregonian/OregonLive. Officers trying to stop him fired rounds into the car, Brady said.

The wagon was boxed in by officers’ cars, prompting Reinoehl to run. He produced a gun and officers fired again, Brady said. Reinoehl died at the scene, his body lying in the street.
If he pulled a gun, which I won’t believe until there’s video, he did it when he realized it was an execution squad.
You like to make lots of claims however you dont substantiate those claims - ever.
Which claims have I not substantiated?

You ever notice when you don’t draw attention to yourself by committing crimes, the police tend to leave you alone ?

Kind of how it is here in the US. In the real world anyhow.

I note two things in this article. One is the idea that witnesses have lawyers. That is an oddity. Second it is based on a logic fallacy. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. A witness cannot confirm no commands were given by the police. All a witness could confirm is the he witnessed no command given by the police. This may be because the police gave no command, or it might be because the witness did not hear or see a command given.

In any case, that is a side note. It is possible that police would need to shoot first, at least in some situations where there was an immediate threat and no time for a command.

I would hope the situation will have at least on independent body look over the situation.
