If you think about it, the Catholic Church actually has much more “evidence” about it’s claims concerning life and death then Sylvia Browne does. Saints, nuns and others have claimed to have visions of Heaven, Hell and/or Purgatory. If you’ve read “Purgatory Explained” you’d see that there was quite a number of people who claimed that souls from Purgatory appeared to them and asked for prayers. Look at what happened at Fatima; thousands of people claimed that the sun was going down like that, the day the children said Mary informed them to gather the people, right? People who were Catholic such as Padre Pio had spiritual gifts. The only thing that’s “significant” about Sylvia Browne nowadays is that her teachings are recent. My point is, the Church has a long history of people (like Sylvia Browne, but right) who had supernatural gifts.
