This is very unfortunate. Ted Cruz was a beacon of light for America. He could have revived conservatism here. He is a true Tea Party patriot who honors the Lord. God bless him in his political journey forward.
I keep hearing that yet everytime i turn on the TV, there he is being disingenuous again.

To me, he hardly projects a image of a true Christian. Dr. Carson, OTOH certainly did. Too bad Cruz sandbagged him.

Good riddance to Cruz. He is a bright and talented conservative. He just needs to stop lying all the time and I could see him being the nominee in the future.

Unfortunately i care not for either Trump or Hillary 🤷 May have to right in a name on the ballot.

Americans angered themselves to this point.
Right! They’re voting with their emotions, not their head. I don’t particularly like Cruz, but Trumps attack at his father may have changed my mind. Then Cruz, very upset instead of ignoring it, went after Trump with boxing gloves.

Now I too have no one to vote for conscience wise. Unless a third party candidate pops up, or God intervenes in some way, I’d say that both would be bad for the country.

But just maybe that’s what we deserve.

I suspect we are.

I would have never voted for Cruz for president, but I certainly hopes he runs for his senate seat again. I could see him becoming a better senator.

Meltzerboy, do you meet the basic qualifications for president? I’m open to do a write-in. 😃
I do meet the qualifications. How about you and me, Gertabelle? Let’s go for it!
Wow, that’d be one crazy ticket! :rotfl:

Two educators – talk about political outsiders! – representing, I think, some contradictory political ideas.

And just like educators, we’d use our ticket as a teachable moment for how people with differing views actually can work together and get the job done.

It’d never work. Thanks be to God! 😃 I wouldn’t wish the job of president on anyone I like!

:rotfl:

👍

So what exactly IS the process of calling for a “Do-Over” – collect signatures? get a some media exposure?

And Meltzerboy, do you meet the basic qualifications for president? I’m open to do a write-in. 😃
Oh, Good idea! I’ll vote for him too! 2 votes so far!

The GOP had the unique ability to fight fir life, marriage, and the family. It failed in all three areas. Perhaps it deserves to fall into the dust bin of history.
The Republican Party had the chance, but that party died a while ago. Remnants are still out there, but the truth is that social conservative do not have representation on a national level.

Rest in peace, G.O.P. 1854-2016 :harp:
You had a good run.
But I wouldn’t say “Rest in peace” yet.

It’s going to be more difficult to win Congressional races this fall, but with a little care and diplomacy it should still be possible … see the other thread.

I think I’m leaving.:(. Back to being an independent.
That’s a possibility too. To me, the main thing is not to stay home on election day – Congress and state gov are just as important as the presidential race.
