The Republican Party will be nominating an openly pro-choice Donald Trump. He has even said he disagrees with the pro-life platform, and he has been overwhelmingly winning the popular Republican vote.

This is “one bite at a time” in reverse. Accepting Trump isn’t “at least he’s better than Hillary”, it’s accepting that the pro-life stance is not fundamental to Republican values. To continue to blindly support the Party as a whole at this point would be to endorse this reality.

A challenge must be issued to the Republican party: endorse the pro-life cause whole heartedly or lose the pro-life vote. Simply giving the vote unquestioningly has given us a pro-choice Republican nominee.

Peace and God bless!

I don’t see things your way. Donald Trump said he is pro-life. He also said funding PP for abortions and selling body parts would be unfunded by the taxpayers. He mumbled something about them doing some good (because he really hadn’t dug into it and thought it was women’s health checkups, etc. He was misinformed and won’t be
handing out money to those people.

Cutting all the wasted, useless, crooked monies that have got the country into 20Trill of debt are going bye bye. PP doesn’t pass the smell test of receiving money for political aid and abetting - so that will be a welcome beginning to defeat abortion. Trump will make this happen!

No that Is not true, just bc were going to sit out doesn’t mean were in favor of abortion. You sure do like to point the finger at other people.

Trump is still not sure what his position in abortion is. He can change at any moment. So if you vote for him and he becomes president, and starts accepting abortion are you going to plead the 5th?

This is a lose lose situation for the country.
I would feel better if Trump announced he would pick Ted Cruz for his first Supreme Court appointment. That would place an aggressive pro-Constitutionalist and pro-life person on the bench for the next 40 years or more.

If he did that, then I could see some peace in whether Trump is pro life or pro choice, but til then, you have to be leery about trump.

I agree. Trump is NOT pro-life. But he could calm a lot of pro-life people if he promised to make that move.

Kasich got out earlier today as well so I can’t vote for him, and I refuse to vote democrat.

In other words, I’m not voting.
I think there will be quite a few joining you.

That means the relative level of enthusiasm for Trump’s supporters and Hillary’s supporters will be a deciding factor in this election.

If he also nominates a staunch pro life VP candidate as well, I’m just throwing out a name out there, some others might throw stauncher pro-life candidate like Rick Santorum, I think that with saying, Hey If I’m president Cruz will be my nominee to the SCOTUS then yeah, Trump has won that argument.

Wait to see what Trump does first. If he makes solid conservative choices, and if he promises to put Ted Cruz on the Supreme Court, that would make him a little easier to vote for. We know what Hillary will do–if Trump is willing to make some real promises now that he has won the nomination–

No. If a woman is pregnant due to a rape, the child’s DNA is part of the evidence. It’s entirely possible to get DNA from a child in utero, and it’s done all the time. Obviously, that would depend on the length of the pregnancy.
The issue isn’t whether or not we can get DNA from a child in utero. Obviously we can. The problem is that DNA doesn’t prove rape, accusations don’t prove rape, and investigations and trials that WOULD prove rape take longer than 9 months and depend on factors that are outside the purview of medical treatment.

If you allow abortion in the case of rape you must allow abortion on demand in practice, because practically speaking you can’t wait for a full investigation and trial to provide treatment. Furthermore, you can’t put post-procedure contingencies, such as identification of rapist or testimony at trial, on the abortion.

If abortion is recognized as a right in the case of rape, then it is an undue burden on the victim to have them go through an investigation and trial before getting one.

Peace and God bless!

LOL–my view of Trump would take a full 360-degree change if he picked Santorum for VP, and Cruz for the Supreme Court. Of course, the left, and the media controlled by the left, would go insane with those choices.

Of course, Rubio is more popular than Santorum, and he is also 100% pro-life.

In previous presidential elections, the Democrats were successful in getting Republican voters to stay home OR to vote for a third party candidate. As a result, Democrat candidates won with less than a majority of the vote.

I have friends who absolutely did not want Bill Clinton to win, but they voted for a third party and as a result they got their worst case scenario.

Consider that while Trump is not a Conservative, he is a “repairman”.

He knows that there are serious problems that need to be fixed, such as the porous southern border … or the bureaucratic burdens of ObamaCare.

He may not be willing to engage in tedious legalistic debates, but he is ready, willing and able to fix the problems.

He is upset that the Republicans who have claimed to be conservative, have gone along with unlimited spending budgets or tax structures that put the United States at 31st out of 33 major economies … to the extent that people are moving out and away from here.

These things can be repaired and no one else is willing to even discuss these issues.

There are many more issues that need attention and interested people can visit Trump’s Web site and look them up.

Nobody who gets picked on either side, both outlets, your left and right wing media outlets will go insane.

To me, Santorum as VP and Cruz as SCOTUS nominee, tells the country I am pro life. The media will spin it, but the evidence will be there that he is pro-life.

When there were Republican Majorities in both House and Senate they could have voted on (and passed) the various Bills put forward by Ron and Rand Paul that would have officially stated that the 14th Amendment applies to the unborn, thus responding to the Supreme Court’s referral back to Congress in its Roe v. Wade ruling. That would have been the easiest and most definitive step.
Peace and God bless!
Which bills were those? Do you really think that if offered, it would have passed Congress? I understand how you feel, but after the dust settles and a little time has passed, hopefully you will come to your senses and vote NOT to help put Hillary in the WH. If the bill passes in Missouri there might be a good way to attack the problem head on. Whether Trump is totally pro-life is not the question. I did not vote for him, but with a few years on me, and many elections behind me, I am willing to take a chance. He can’t be worse than what we have now, which will undoubtedly be continued by Hillary.

If he wants to win the White House, he must look beyond his own ego and make some choices that prove he cares about more than immigration. If he promised to nominated Cruz to the Supreme Court, and if he chose someone like Santorum or Rubio as his VP, that would bring in millions who otherwise will have a hard time voting for him.

Bill was a great president. He did a lot for the country. After democrats got beat up in the midterms of 94, the man put his pride aside and became a moderate, working with Newt for the good of the people.

Bush meanwhile in 06, didn’t do that.

So I would say, Clinton was not a bad choice overall.

I thought it was a mortal sin for a Catholic not to exercise her right to vote according to CCC 2240?
I think that you can sit back and not vote due to either party not standing for what the Church believes.

I mean (this is just a hypothetical) if one party is saying abortion, gay marriage, meanwhile the other is saying killing and having as many marriages as you like. Neither one is really pro Catholicism.

Yes, Clinton’s only true success was he followed the Republicans. He saw a good plan and he went along with it.

Bush is bashed far more than he has ever deserved. He created an amazing economy until the Democrats took control off Congress after the 2006 elections. That Democratic Party led Congress caused the housing collapse and then the economic collapse after. Since Bush was in office, people blame him, but he tried to convinced the Congress to stiffen regulations for the housing market and they refused–not long after, everything fell apart.

Plus Republicans running in both houses need our votes. Don’t give up on them. They need to maintain control there. It’s one thing if you can’t vote for Trump, but we can abandon the houses at the same time. At least vote for them.

I don’t think so.
Perhaps not with the incest or rape exceptions–yet, the life of the mother exception equals abortion on demand. There really is no way to control or stop abortions with those three exceptions in place.
