Nice attempt to dodge. You’ll note that most of the current issues the Church is dealing with concern human sexuality and its misuse: pornography, contraception, embryonic stem cell research, in-vitro fertilization, gay marriage.
**Yes, many bemoan the Church’s obsessive interest in sexuality. **
You can attempt to ignore these issues but the breakdown between the proper relationship between men and women lays squarely on the shoulders of Hippies, Anarchists, Communists, the National Organization for Women and pornographers.
**you blame all of societies so called ills on these groups? So feminists are destroying your church? Hippies? We get lumped with communists and anarchists. Do you have any authority for this, or is it just the way things look from Ed’s point of view? **
If you can’t see the excruciating pain that Ed is in because of all the losses he has suffered you might try reviewing a couple of months of his posts. Read together its clear the poor man feels that there has been a conspiratorial attack by diverse groups who have given up their natural differences in favor of banding together to destroy Ed’s world of Catholicism. His voice is a loud cry of anger and pain. That he has chosen to attack on evolution is neither here no there, its just the outburst of all this pent up anger. I consider it unfair and unkind to debate with him further. His misery is too palpable.
I suggest anyone reading this listen to Al Kresta’s program on Catholic radio. He has been very articulate about what he calls the Catholic faithful’s “amnesia” over the last 30 years.
The groups I have identified are directly responsible for distracting and deceiving Christians of all denominations that it’s “all good,” “It’s all OK,” and “What’s the big deal.”
The primary tool of the devil is deception. And now, the children of these same people run the media, work in academia and in politics.
Anyone who attempts to deflect the truth by referring to me, or anyone, as suffering ignores that it is OK to hunger and thirst after righteousness. And I encourage all of my fellow Catholics to do the same.
God bless,
Ed
