I have an idea for your next research project:
“Water: Is it wet?”

Sadly a lot of people aren’t even aware that reading trash fiction is something to be frowned upon. And get this: The awesome thing is you don’t have to be religious to believe in that.Everyone knows porn rarely has aesthetic value, even people who don’t watch porn.
Don’t underestimate the power of making people feel small and having poor taste.
Meh, the fanboy is really just some guy I lock up in my head and one that I waterboard for info. I don’t really like reading porn at all (unless I’m hopelessly bored). I’m actually more addicted to explosive violence than sex.And yeah, for fangirls two guys are enough, but two girls are enough for fanboys of shows like Dirty Pair. Please don’t be condescending about fangirls like some of my friends, you are yourself a fanboy and do not have the moral high ground you think you do, especially because you’ve convinced yourself you watch porn for the aesthetic value whereas most of them are honest with themselves about wanting to watch men go at it because they think it’s hot.
Still, I write a lot of dark sexual scenarios for my own protagonists to bust up. The thing is very few ecchi anime have captured that dark, gritty feel needed for such scenarios when compared to hentai.
Also, I really don’t mind if yaoi fan girls do what they do. It’s just how far and widespread they are. I’m not the only one who thinks that there’s more yaoi than yuri you know.
Although, I guess you’re right that I can’t blame 'em. I’ve got one question though, what do you think of yaoi fans who think that yaoi has nothing to do with sexual orientation? You see that’s just one other thing that bugs me about them.
Well in their defense, archetypes are simply the basic stick figure of anime personalities that you base on before you add your own little twists and quirks (even contrary ones). Even in real life, everyone falls under a certain archetype even if it’s not completely. Heck I myself have been able to measure my personality to be 30% Anime Geek, 40% Cold Conservative, and 30% Lonely Emo.And I’m sorry to be the one to have to break it to you, but the only people who think anime archetypes are hot are otaku and harem leads, and the only girls like that are in harem shows. Real girls don’t act like that. And Sakura is so submissive because she was molested by her brother. I really don’t think that’s a trait you ought to eroticize or glamorize.
P.S.
Well if we’re going to focus on the individual character, you have a point (and one reason why I’m glad her bro got cleaved in half). However, he wasn’t really her brother by blood. (In fact, wasn’t she Rin’s true sister?) Also, it’s pretty much just me liking shy, submissive girls in general. Don’t take this the wrong way but I hate girls that are loud, dominating, and the complete opposite of your usual damsel-in-distress. I’m not saying all girls should be like that (it’d be a pretty boring world). I would definitely, however, desire my future spouse to be of the quiet, timid, caring housewife variety.
Well, don’t get your hopes up. A lot of things cause guys to drool (even if you didn’t want them to).My “fandom little sister” and I are working on a POWER OF FRIENDSHIP fantasy series with a 90%-female cast. It’s not “Catholics infiltrating the entertainment industry” by any means (she’s not even religious), but we want to write women who are interesting characters that aren’t turned into something for guys to drool over.
Actually, that can pretty much extend to the hentai fandom in general. Heck, while hentai can make my eyes roll, actual porn makes my wanna shoot myself… or better yet shoot the chauvinistic bozos who keep trying to shove it in my face.Sorry, my brain is now mush from finals. But seriously, there’s something to yaoi that seems to transcend pr0n. I can’t explain it, you take two average anime fangirls and have them watch a gay porn flick and watch them puke. Make the same two fangirls, give them a fanart pic of the two male characters of *Vampire Knight *and atch them squeel…oh geez, I can’t believe I’m even contemplating this as an academic discussion. You get the picture.
