About D-Gray Man, I didn’t like the emblem they used for the order, is like a rosecross symbol mixed with the Crusaders Cross

Maybe in Japan they don’t have a vast knowledge of western religious symbols

Thanks! I wish we could get some devout Japanese Catholics making totally clean anime with the same banter, stupid stuff said and slapstick I love in anime. I like NCIS and its other version for the same reason I like anime, for it’s humor, and they fortunately took out sex scenes from the first NCIS and it’s not in the new series, though they’re not totally without any suggestive humor.

I’d hate to see Bleach come to an end, but if they’d kept up with the alternative sagas much longer, people may get bored and forget about it. It’s not that the sword fiend saga wasn’t funny, but it didn’t seem to be going anywhere and that’s just ok for 2 or 3 episodes (like the great DBZ driving school episode). I hope the hollows go with the end of the arrancar (except for Nel), as I can assume that’ll happen, and Ashida Kano can come home.

I don’t think people would quit watching it just because of the fillers, though, as long as the manga is running. But I know what you mean… that sword fiend arc was just too much coming right after the whole Muramasa thing. Yeah, the DBZ driver’s license episode was a classic though. 😃

Ashido struck me as a filler character anyway, but I’m not really sure. Does he appear in the manga at all? :confused:

No, he doesn’t but from what I’ve seen of the anime (now I keep track of it with the released dubs so I’m waaaaay behind but I’ve seen it online as well), Ashido has to be one of the better Bleach filler characters out there.
 
I kept saying “saga”. The saga diversions are merely “arcs (of which the Seiritea flashback one was my favorite and I wish Ichigo’s dad had been one of the characters in it to explain how he came to be a soul reaper on Earth)”. Usually, they’re plots, but the sword fiends had no plot, except they were leftover zanpakutos (too bad one wasn’t a French one names Jean Cocteau), whose master had died. We had no idea how long it could possibly run. A week is a long time if you’re selective about your anime and you’re slow to get into new ones.
I think it would've been great if Byakuya's family name were "Kuchiku".

My friend, who was in the Navy, was told by the others he’s got to see that episode. He didn’t get the humor. The episode beginning the Buu saga, where they replay the Cell games as a filmed play on a big screen with the Z fighters being played by actors in masks that bear their likeness, was hilarious too! Those Japanese have a great sense of humor!
 
I’m still looking for a good anime. But in the meantime I have been watching Princess Mononoke and I’ve played Resident Evil 5. Just beat that today. I have some issues with it, namely the woman’s outfits and I hate how the movies used Slipknot at the end credits along with some other issues which I think would deem the movies immoral. But the game is pretty fun, and not bad like the movies. Chris Redfield finally has his last showdown with Albert Wesker.

If anyone is familiar with the RE series do you like how the games evolved from the undead zombie’s to the parasitic organisms that invade the body? I think RE did lose a bit of it’s horror feel but you definatly get that adrenline rush if you play RE 5 for the first time.

RE is the reason why I will own an arsenal when I get out of college - because the zombie apocalypse is a real and imminent threat.

Hellsing (original anime series) or Hellsing Ultimate (OVA)? The difference is that Ultimate is true to the manga and kinda has a different feel. I like anime series’ music but the Ultimate plot is better. Check out the English dub too.
 
From the new opening of FMA:B it looks like EdxWinry finally happens? Wha?

FMA:B is supposed to be true to the manga. If Ed/Winry happened there, then it would be included in the series. I haven’t read the manga so I can’t say.
