**Hi Symux, :tiphat: **
**Hey, thanks for that information! 👍 ****I am so glad that someone has finally been appointed to make those decisions! Errrr, You were appointed by the Catholic Church, the real owners of the Bible, to make that statement weren’t you? Or, is it just your opinion? 🤷 **

**Actually the scriptures “belong to the church” you can have the books, we have 7 more you forgot to “borrow”. What is important is the correct interpretation of what those words mean . Only the Catholic church has that, and the God given authority to preach from the bible. **

The CC has not one change in over 2,000 years. Where the 33,000 counterfeit denominations and their 28,000 subdenominations cave done so many it would make you wonder how much of the real message is still contained in it? There are now over 100 versions of the Bible. The KJV its self has changed over 300 verses from the “official” bible assembled by the “real” church and eliminated some of God’s word as being false. :bigyikes: How God like is that? To take it upon yourself to just disobey the church that Jesus Himself gave authority on earth just because you don’t agree with what they teach. Foolish condemned souls! I pray for all of your souls: May Jesus, our savior, grab your soul from Satan and lead you into the real church that He established 2,000 years ago. May He destroy your belief in the lies that you have been taught and full your heart with His true teachings as understood by His real church. I ask this in His holy name. Amen.

**Yea, Jesus sure must be happy with the cancerous growth that has developed on His “Body” in the past 500 years!:nope: **The disrespect His mother is shown must fill His heart with Love for you people who deny Her SinlessnesSymux,s.

**Anyway Symux, I have posted your remarks on the List of “People’s Who’s Opinion Dosen’t Matter”. If we receive approval from Rome on your opinions. Be assured we will make necessary changes. Thanks for your (name removed by moderator)ut. It is appreciated! **

Nice job, Rob. Entertaining and on the money.

The Bible is Gods book and is for everyone.
and no Catholic wrote it so i find this amusing and ignorent
The Bible is indeed meant for everyone, in the context that everyone is meant to be in the Church Christ established. If you’re not in that Church, then you’re taking the Bible out of its proper context, and likely misinterpreting it.

Where do you get this business about no Catholic wrote the Scriptures?

On earth, where this happened, Christ set up His Church (begun in 33 AD), headed by St. Peter. All who wrote the Sacred Scriptures were members of the one Church established by Christ, which later came to be known by the term Catholic (for universal). Christ was sent with His mission from the Father, and left Apostles, including the chief Apostle to continue His mission. Whomever hears them, hears Christ, and the One Who sent Christ. Likewise for rejection… These people in turn continued Christ’s mission through the Bishops down the line, including the chief Bishop (Bishop of Rome). This authoritative Church established by Christ determined which Sacred Scriptures belonged in the Canon, and then closed it. This is where we got the Bible.

Later, some threw out books, and determined they wanted to misinterpret it as they preferred… These protesters of the true Church, usurping the authority and taking the Scriptures out of context of the authoritative Church who gave it and the complimentary Godly Tradition to us, still exist today… in many flavors and varieties. When was your church established?

Oh, and the true Church still exists today, with the Bishops and chief Bishop (Bishop of Rome) and the name is still the same name that was adopted in about the year 100… Catholic Church, established in 33 AD by Jesus the Christ and the Church will continue until the end of time… the gates of Hell will never prevail against her.

That’s how you got the Bible… we ask that you please stop distorting the teachings in it, and please stop denying history of what occurred. Why do you deny what Christ has done. If you really love Christ, you will embrace what He has established. If not, you may continue to doubt and be lost in misinterpretation and denial.

Welcome, Ads. :tiphat: We’ve got Greeters in the Threads too. 👋
The Apostles of The Lord weren’t The Catholic Church Fathers? Know they and Our Lord’s disciples Wrote the Words of the New Testament? Know The Liturgy of The Church for 2000 years have been the Last Supper Feast, aka as The Mass nowadays
And the Real Presence Eucharist From it? And Confirmation (St Paul is described Doing that In NT) etc, etc, etc.
So what kind of people wrote the New Testament?

Please throw a few of those Wrongs/Evils about Church History to is. May be a Great New Thread: *Evils in Church History/*COLOR]
. Surprise! Virtually none hold water. Have checked Most out. :blessyou:
For myself, The More I Learn of the Church, and Church History, the more I fall in love with It.

Sailka, thank-you. I appreciate this offer, and wrote an e-mail to you with the three main points, and then deleted it. I can’t take responsibility for putting any doubt in another. I fear that Jesus will take great issue with it, if I were to do so.

With the net, I am able to do a little research on this topic, and may bully up the courage to speak with a priest on the matter. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Priests and Nuns, and as a youth used to visit with them frequently. I loved the ladies at the convent, they were so … normal.

Brillant post… 👍 If there are supposedly thousands of different interpretations in Prostant churches there are easily millions of different interpretations in the Catholic church since there are millions of catholics. To think that a priest or a bishop cannot give the final and final interpretation of a verse of Scripture since the church offically never means a catholic must rely on the personal interpretation of the priest or bishop. Sounds a lot like protestantism to me…🍿 :clapping:
No, ja4. What the Catholic Church has is the Apostolic Teaching preserved. This is an infallible and immutable Source to which we compare our private understandings so that they can be corrected.

First time in your Texas Life, Rob, you goofed. Symux explained he is trying to find answers to the false History of the Church he was told, to think about Returning to the Church.
He is Here to Learn.
We Easturners are sensitive to Cowboy Talk. Symux checking Catholic teaching, atitudes, not just Cowboy Catholic Sect 😃 :frighten:
Sorry, Symux. KC brother Rob received a lot of false protestant opinions, readings in His corner of Texas. He is VERY sensitive Texan .(Don’t tell Any Body. is top secret. ) He thinks Any Non-texan has Bad Attitude, and Is Wrong. :jrbirdman:

Those who follow the truth of the Bible are taught to interpret it from the Holy Spirit. In so doing, those with true belief are filled with God’s spirit, and begin to act more like Jesus Christ.

It should be the goal of all Christians to become more like our Savior. If anyone could ever attain that ideal, we would never have needed his sacrifice.

It is our job to continually work towards this goal, and to help our brethren when they need encouragement.

The official books of the Bible were selected to be placed into the Bible at the Council of Trent. The Roman Catholic Church did put the modern day Bible. I will not deny that, but it is the word of God meant to be shared with everyone. It is a fallacy for anyone to deny the word of God to anyone, or to declare it belongs only to one organization.
Symux,
Hello. Where did God tell us that we are to interpret it ourselves and that He would provide the Holy Spirit to help each individual interpret? In fact, the Scriptures teach against this, when Peter tells us that Scripture is not for private interpretation.

The word of God is meant for everyone, but not for everyone to come up with their own private interpretation.

Please consider whether Christ came and established His Church, or dropped off a book for us to read. The Scriptures will even tell you that the pillar and bulwark of truth is the Church. No such claim is made about Scriptures. Scriptures don’t teach their own truths. The Church is responsible to uphold and teach truth. Which Church? Christ only established one, with Peter as the head of the Church. The office of Peter as visible head of the Church is still in existence today, as is His Church. Where Peter is, there is the Church. Likewise with each successor of Peter. This is how we have the truth and one doctrine, one dogma, one teaching of faith and morals binding on the faithful.

Symux,
Rob’s post was nevertheless correct in what it said, and it’s important that the truth guide you if you’re to come to the Catholic Church. False opinions won’t get you where we all need to go, and any that you’ve been exposed to and learned will hinder you (same goes for all of us as well). Rob gave you a humorous way of blunting the false arguments. The stakes are high in what we’re doing here in our relationship to Christ, and Rob knows that. I believe you have reverence for Christ and are very concerned about your relationship with Him as well. A friend will tell you that you have something on your nose that needs to be wiped off…, while others will laugh. Rob understands and could be your best friend.

Again, Symux is here to learn the Truths about what he has been mis taught about the Church, Church History. We should help him, respectfully, As Church Teaches. Harshness never works with one seeking The Truth of The Church. He is throwing the falsehoods he was taught, looking for Catholic Church answers. I’ve begun the process.

Thank-you, I have much to consider. My husband and I married outside of the Catholic church, as he is a Presbyterian. However, I will continue to search.

The truths/untruths that I learned were taught to me in a Catholic college, ’ St. Joseph’s’ by an ex-nun who married an ex-priest. They might not have been lies, but I could have misunderstood what was being said. It came at a good time, as I was taking courses on what I hoped would be the first of many on a path towards becoming a Nun.

Now looking back, I feel God had other plans for me and maybe he hardened my heart for a specific reason.

Thank-you for your assistance.

I understand a few people on this board might consider the Bible to be dangerous or ill used by people of other faiths. Satan will do anything to pull people away from God. However, the Bible is a chance for people to meet Christ who might otherwise not have. It is a book with unlimited value, and I believe the Gideons are correct in their approach of getting it out to everyone they can.

Even if people misinterpret the message, they will pull from the Bible that they must believe in Christ Jesus to attain the promises. If more people looked up to Jesus, and aspired to act as he taught us … then this world would be a much better place.

Hi thanks for the welcome xox

We have very different views. I dont believe that the Catholic church is the one true church, so it would be hard for me to believe that the book is a Catholic book.
I feel that to many traditions have distorted the true word of God and that we should be looking for a remnent Church that is bible based only and still has Gods true word.
Please, please dont take offence to my views, im not having a go mate ok :O)
I believe Jesus founded the church/ lifestyle on himself not Peter.
Peter was no rock, ( get the behind me Satan ) and he denied Christ 3 times. It is very hard for me to think he would build a religion with him at the head.

thanks for reading. :O)

Sailka,
And again with you… a Catholic virtue is humility… would appreciate your adoption of such instead of acting like you’re an elitist or act superior… which you aren’t.

What I said was correct, in responding to the falsehoods. The truth is bold and worthy of being served straight.

Ads,
Hello. Of course we can believe as we desire. When we learn and follow the truth, is when our beliefs are solid and are fruitful. Christ is the ultimate Rock, and He’s the King. If you’re interested in the truth, Christ did not found the Church on Himself as the rock of the Church. He established it on Peter as the rock of the Church. It’s very clear when all the Scripture is taken into account, starting with Matthew 16:18. Christ changed Simon’s name to Kepha (in Aramaic) when He said to Peter, you are Kepha, and upon this Kepha I will build my church. Peter was rock, because Jesus made it so, not because Peter somehow earned it. Christ said He was building His Church, and so He is responsible for protecting His Bride from falling into error. We saw how weak Peter was without Christ. After His resurrection, Christ asked Peter three times if Peter loved Him… to recant the previous three denials… each time, Christ asked Peter to feed His Sheep… This is what Peter is to do, as visible head of the Church. As in the OT when a King would leave, and leave the Prime Minister in charge, Christ the King did the same before He left His earthly mission to ascend to Heaven. Christ also told Peter that Satan had desired to sift them all like wheat, but Christ prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail. Once Peter was confirmed, he should strengthen his brethren. At Pentecost, Peter and the rest received the Holy Spirit, and so were able to accomplish their duties. For Peter, that was to be the visible head of the Church on earth… the head of the Apostles. These were dynastic offices (as Judas office was refilled… let his office another take), so the Church and mission of Christ could continue, they laid hands on others, making Bishops, and through Apostolic succession, the mission of Christ is continued in the Church.

Christ established His Church on the rock of Peter, being the office of head Bishop. It is protected by Christ, so that the Church will have a visible symbol of unity, and infallible teaching office so that the truth would be maintained, while the King is not on the Earth. Christ’s church will last until the end of time, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. It’s the Church, and not the Bible that is the pillar and bulwark of truth. The Church existed before Scriptures were written, but the Bible never existed without the Church.

So, to be Bible-based, as in a church founded on the Bible, is interesting, but a bit reversed, and to be certain is man-made. Christ built His Church on the rock of Peter, and this Church later wrote and chose the Scriptures that were to be in the Bible. The other problem with the Bible-based churches is that it’s not really the Bible they are built on, but a particular set of interpretations about the Bible. They can look at the same Bible text, and come up with different interpretations. There is only one Church who teaches the truth in the Book they wrote and assembled together as authentic. It’s the same Church that was teaching these truths before the Bible was written and the Scriptures chosen for the canon. It was the only Church started in 33 AD by Christ, and like He promised, still exists today, still with the office of the head Bishop, still protected from teaching error in faith and morals.

**Sailka, You are very wise! Yes, I would also think that Jesus would take great issue if you attempt to put any doubt into a 'true" believer. Don’t worry, Brother Tony swam to become a Catholic. So he already knows of the Devil’s churchs and evils. He is protected by the “Power” of being a warrior for Christ!
God bless you my friend. Do you know that Jesus really loves you? He really does, it is only the false teaching that you believe in that He would have any issue with at all! I think He sent you here so we could help clear your mind and open your heart to the truth! 👍

**A bunch of ladies living together, praying to God, devoting their life to service to others. I laughed at your defination of “normal”😃 If it only was so. I so love the Nun’s who have not “kicked the habit” as we jokingly say about them using “civilian dress”. Annually, in San Antonio, we KofC have a dinner and invite all the religious tom include Nuns. It does a heart good to see these models of Mary, in service to Jesus, relaxing and fellowshipping together well over 200 nuns, in their various habits. **

Symux,
The Bible is not dangerous, but believing in a misinterpretation will not lead one to truly know Christ, and could leave one more distant from Christ than if they knew the truth. Satan quotes Scripture as well, and will misquote Scripture to pull people away. God’s true word is of unlimited value. There’s nothing wrong with reading the Scriptures, and we all should be familiar with it. That’s not all, though. We should also participate in the Sacraments that bring us in closer communion with Christ as well as the true teachings of His Word.

Conversion to Christianity starting with the early Church had been by preaching. After the Scriptures were written, they were meant to be used in the proper context for those in the Church, where the truth in the Scriptures could be taught, as the Bible doesn’t teach its own truths. However, if one does begin with the Bible, and get a basic message that Christ is the Messiah and faith in Him is necessary to obtain His Grace, is a start and certainly much better than if one had not. As the Christian desires growth, being fed junk food like false interpretations will stunt the growth, or even worse create falsehoods about Christ. How can we know God, except by knowing the true teachings? As one learns the truths that are in the Bible, one realizes the Church that Christ established. When you have the Church, then you have the pillar and bulwark of truth, that really brings Him to us… His true Word, the true and valid Sacraments, especially His incomparable real and true presence in the Eucharist.

Symux doesn’t need to “Come to the Catholic Church”. Is lapsed Catholic, here to Unlearn false History and facts about it. Helps if we are Very Nice with her.

Symux and I; Rob and I are Great friends. Join us, MDK Even Pope Benedict few months ago commented on Humor being important for Teaching, communicating. I sent brother KC Rob the Citation on that, months ago. Anyone who has seen either Rob or me Knows what great Humor God must have.

Hi thanks for the welcome xox

We have very different views.

**AMEN! 👍 **

I dont believe that the Catholic church is the one true church, so it would be hard for me to believe that the book is a Catholic book.

**Well you are wrong! Where did the “churches” that started 500 years ago get the Bible from? Tick, tock, tick ,tock, Think… Hint it was started by Jesus 2000 years ago! Yes, you do understand It came from the catholic church. That my friend is HISTORY! It isn’t a made up belief like “The bible contains all truth, read the bible anyway you want and you are saved” **

I feel that to many traditions have distorted the true word of God and that we should be looking for a remnent Church that is bible based only and still has Gods true word.

We agree But the remnent Church is called catholic. Jesus wanted the apostles to spread the Gosples through out the lands. And you want to “desolve” Jesus’ church because YOU don’t agree with His church? Well 1.1 Billion people do! The Bible is only a book! It contains stories teaching songs, history and many teachings IT IS NOT GOD! He is in the Chiurch that He establishd He lives there He guides his followers who have written, Oral and sacraments to nurish and inform us of Gods will. WE do not have Bibles that have been twisted, distorted or like the JKV altered in 300 verses to change the real word of God! Go look for a remnents Church or why not like other Protestants go make your own! We understand you can make millions “selling Jesus” And may the devil have a very special place reserved for all those thiefs and liars!

Please, please dont take offence to my views, im not having a go mate ok :O)

**
No offence take here ,My friend. I ask you to not take offense also. One of us is wrong, the other is a Catholic! Not a problem here. 😃 The Bible and History back me up, It even warned of false prophets and churches but did the follower who left the church believe what the read or did the devil blind them to the truth. Since the 1500s many “catholics” left the church because the Church would not change to suit their desires. The church remain and remains true to Jesus and His desires for His True followers.**

Only I believe Jesus founded the church/ lifestyle on himself not Peter.

**
Ads, would you be suprised to learn that the Catholic Church agrees with that 100%? It isn’t the church of St Peter. Nor the Body of peter. Ads, who is teaching you? It is the Body of Christ**. Jesus is the “only” head of the Catholic Church. Didn’t you know that? He guides everything we do! The Holy Spirit protects and helps the “body” remain healthy.
But a “human” must direct the church. Don’t attempt to tell me there isn’t a leader in your group. We need someone to lead us. Our Lord Jesus knew that. God himself didn’t look for a “perfect man”. We all sinners . Jesus was the “only” perfect man and he was going to have to die for our sins in order for us to receive eternal life.
So “He” picked the man to represent Him here on Earth. He told Him specific things and gave Him authority over the Church and even SIN! It is in yuor version of the bible also! Jesus did this even before Peter denied Him three times. Do you believe Jesus didn’t know he would do that? Didn’t Jesus tell him that he would deny Him? And yet, Jesus still put Him in change of the church.

Ads, my friend, one question. Think before you answer. Your very soul may depend on your answer. The question: Do you think you are smarted that Jesus? Are you better qualified to decided who should lead his church? Do you not fear GOD?

Peter was no rock, ( get the behind me Satan ) and he denied Christ 3 times.

** What did Jesus say?
You believe the Bible don’t you?
You think it is the “only truth” don’t you?
The Bible ~ even your twisted and distorted version still tells that truth doesn’t it?
The real** church’s oral and written history confirms what you a “doubting Thomas” wants to deny.
How God like do you think you are?

It is very hard for me to think he would build a religion with him at the head.

**Oh My God! You actually are calling Jesus a liar! **:bigyikes: May God have mercy on your soul! May the Blessed Mother ask her son to forgive your foolishness.

thanks for reading. :O)

**Ads, I will pray for you.I have no choice. I rather damn you to hell, and have nothing more to do with you, but being a follower of Jesus who died fore all our sins and you just called a liar, I can’t do that!
I will not allow myself to judge you like you just judged my Lord and Savior! Heresy angers me to the bone. I have to realize that it was Satan that put those word in your mind! I will pray that they aren’t also written in you heart!

May God Forgive you, I will also attempt to.

i can think of something worse than a humorless person: Someone who can’t tolerate those who have no sense of humor…

(or who SEEM not to have one).

It is difficult having a sense of humor (all the time) when the world is in the shape its in. The devil rules this world. Sin prevails. Sin is the norm. People hate each, use each other (fornication, etc.) and murder one another (abortion). What is there to laugh about??
Oh dear – you got something mixed up here.
Humor, or rather to have a sense of humor, never means you have to be happy all the time and keep laughing about everything. This would be stupidness. There are a lot of people who think everything is funny – they are simply daft and also another group, one wouldn’t really mix up with.

Take a contemplative person. To be contemplative, you have to have a brain. Having a brain doesn’t mean you are continuously contemplative, but you are able to switch according to the situation (which an animal can not).
Same goes for humor. If you have humor, you by no means keep laughing all the time nor take fun of sad things. People hwo do, definitely do not have any humor at all – they are dreadful and hard to stand.

I’m sure, Jesus as a humorous man. He too knew, there is a lot of sorrow in this world. Still; 99% of it is manmade. Would it heal anything if we stop being humorous ? Look at Mother Teresa – she surely had a lot of humor and lived amidst a horror scenario. Giving sad people a smile, is humour compared with love. Not only in Matthew 5:12 we are asked to be happy and joyful.
Most of us had very very sad moments in their life. So had Jesus, when he saw the disbelief of so many, or the poorness or misery some lived in. But Jesus gave us joy and His peace e.g. so in Luke 10:20.
It was Jesus who brought us the real, the deeper joy which we must pass on to others – whom so ever we meet. This is done with a friendly smile given any stranger – in the road, the tube, at work, wherever.

We can not pas on Christianity, when we walk around in a miserable face, showing deep lack of humour, which also should speak out of our words and everything we do. People must not say; look at these Christians, how sad the look – let’s not be a Christian.
No! They must in convincement say; look at these Christians, how joyful the look, and at the humorous way they speak – let’s find out what makes them so happy!

When people hear, that my son Bjorn was murdered in 1997, they’d ask; how on earth can parents ever stand such thing? I always tell them, why I still live and not committed suicide: I tell them I KNOW WE SEE BJOERN AGAIN IN HEAVEN! 🙂
Or take sentences like I wrote here: “Why the heck does the blinker (Bjoern) know a lot more than I do?!” which SAILKA answered with a: “Perhaps because Bjoern is with God now?
This is the fine humour, that doesn’t have anything to do with spiritless laughing, but the God-given humour Christians own, because they have deep reason for joy.

But surely; Jesus laughed too as we all do, heartily and in love, for God is love, and love is joy and love connects (to God and to others).

First time in your Texas Life, Rob, you goofed. Symux explained he is trying to find answers to the false History of the Church he was told, to think about Returning to the Church.
He is Here to Learn.
We Easturners are sensitive to Cowboy Talk. Symux checking Catholic teaching, atitudes, not just Cowboy Catholic Sect
Symux is a female and you said I goofed? As you know Tony, we are all here to learn! I learnt something!
I am going to tell the Pope of the Cowboy Catholic Sect what you said!
Do not be surprised if you don’t get a call from the Eastern Catholic Pope about this matter!
The nerve of some people! How dare you! Someone get a rope and meet me over at Tony’s house! freesmileys.org/smileys/angry021.gif **

Symux must have sounded like a protestant! No offense meant. After all, even catholics sound stupid sometimes. Actually Tony, I had just came from Bingo at a nursing home and was enroute to a fundraiser for the Knights. I wasn’t on line long. I didn’t read back far enough:doh2: I resonded like the Holy Spirit guided me to, so whatever I said might not have been necessary applicable to Symux, but had to be said! If you can’t blame it on the HS who can you blame it on? **

I don’t like to admit it but:

God Bless, everyone!**
