Democrats accused President Trump of “multiple federal crimes,” including bribery and wire fraud, in a new report released early Monday that explains the articles of impeachment that the House is expected to approve mostly along party lines Wednesday.

A trial will probably begin in the Republican-led Senate in early January, and Democrats are seeking to call several senior Trump administration officials who did not testify as part of the House proceedings.

At the heart of the Democrats’ case is the allegation that Trump tried to leverage a White House meeting and military aid, sought by Ukraine to combat Russian military aggression, to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch an investigation of former vice president Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, as well as a probe of an unfounded theory that Kyiv conspired with Democrats to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

It is more than a simple allegation. There was (and there is) no argument to the contrary. There is a weak attempt to say that both Trump, and Zelensky denied the existence of the “pressure”. Obviously Trump’s word is irrelevant, he is a habitual liar. Zelensky is being blackmailed (not just bribed) into stating this falsehood. So his word cannot accepted at face value.

They should just give up. They have failed and look foolish. After this IG
report, it is clear Trump is not the one who is the criminal.

It is clear after the IG report that the investigation of his campaign was warranted.
You can’t be serious. It is typical to ignore the findings when it clearly shows what they did.

Did you watch Chris Wallace interview Comey Sunday? He skewered Comey.
Comey squirmef like a fish on a hook. He got caught.

You need to watch the interview.
Why? Will it change the content of the IG report that negates Trump’s narrative about the investigation of his campaign? Will it change the fact the investigation was warranted?

The truth is hard to face I admit when the public has been handed so many lies
by the left.

Yes, it is crystal cear now what has been going on.
Yes. Trump corruptly abused the powers of his office for personal gain and obstructed the lawful investigation of his actions by Congress. Clear as a bell.

And there is no argument from his supporters. McConnell and Graham both indicate that their mind is made up, and they are not interested in the truth. Words are insufficient to describe how contemptible they are.

Oaths are very serious issues.

“I solemnly swear [or affirm, as the case may be] that in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of [the person being impeached], now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws: So help me God.”

Are they going to cross their fingers behind their backs.

I understand that when Catholics take an oath, they need to see a priest to be dispensed from that oath.
