You have just finished saying that Trump is the worst leader you’ve ever seen. And we are seeing leaders all around the world, even in rich countries, handling this pandemic disastrously. These are countries with immense wealth, with immense scientific knowledge, and immense resources, and the governance is still in many cases atrocious. So does that make you think at all differently about your theory?

The New Yorker…this is just another article to trash President Trump over the
pandemic since they have failed with the investigations and the impeachment.
They have to keep up the attacks about what a bad president he is. Nothing new to see here. Move on.

South Korea and Taiwan have had a great response, and it shows. I’d have to double check, but I think Hong Kong also contained it pretty well? Don’t quote me on that.
The crisis has been mishandled by several leaders, Trump included, and now the USA has the highest death toll as its reward.

There are worse ones, like ideologically driven stupidity. I see that this writer “advised” the former Soviet Union through its transition to capitalism. If anything could have better demonstrated that he has no expertise, I don’t know what it could be.

And in a circular fashion, he claims that poverty is the reason for poverty in much of Africa, not misgovernance. No place could have possibly been more poverty-stricken than South Korea after the Korean War, or Japan or Germany after WWII, but their poverty did not ensure endless poverty.

And, he was a Sanders adviser, soooo…

Whenever I hear recitation of the Trumpitudes( the litany of victimizations that serves as a predicate to a comment on a new negative news articles) it reminds me that Trump is not exempt from negative press.

It is wrong to include Germany here. It did respond much better than the US.

Both countries hit 100 cases March 1.

How many death bed and funerals with loved ones kept away would it take for the response to be considered less than “fine”.
 
Especially we did have a bit of time from when it first appeared in Italy and when it appeared here.

45,000 deaths in just a few weeks is just so tragically incredible.
 
Well, just burials and waiting times for the burials. No funerals right now. Loved ones are dying alone. Some lucky ones might have a nurse able to hold a iPad up for FaceTime goodbye.
 
How that is considered just fine for the 48,000 to date is hard to fathom.
