I understand. Also, just in case you wondered, my thread over in Site feedback today was not directed at you.
But in the revelations St. Faustina received, did Jesus backpedal and imply the end of the world is imminent or is it still that He doesn’t know when the end is either, that only the Father knows?I would expect us all to be long dead before then… but I could be wrong. No one knows. Only God knows.
Since you’re so interested in this, you really should get a copy of the Diary and read it for yourself. It’s available in paperback and e-book, not terribly expensive at all.
Um, I don’t think Jesus “backpedals.”But in the revelations St. Faustina received, did Jesus backpedal and imply the end of the world is imminent or is it still that He doesn’t know when the end is either, that only the Fathet knows?
Does that mean that even in the case of St. Faustina, no one knows, including Jesus, but the Father?Um, I don’t think Jesus “backpedals.”

I don’t understand. This idea of, who knows the end of the world? and if Jesus knew is a conflicted question, which one will quickly see if asking the question has an OP.
Well, when asked, Jesus said that no one knows but the Father.Hope, I meant exactly what I said. Don’t try to read more into it.
That makes sense if He didn’t suggest the end of the world is imminent to St. Faustina. It can be argued that Jesus is referring to the fact that it is not part of Jesus’s mission to provide any sort of revelation to the date of the end of the world. It is completely irrelevant to Jesus coming to spread the Gospel, and the disciples had no right to even ask the question in the first place. It’s a secret bound up in the trinity
My former priest, and current priest said that no one knows when and that it could be a looooooong timeI think also it can be argued that the Church has always said the end of the world is “imminent”.
And what exactly does She mean by “imminent? Imminent means soon, but the way it was explained to me (if I’m remembering correctly) by a theologian who used to be my Bible Study teacher, and is a former seminary teacher, Times are divided into three parts, before Jesus, during the days Jesus walked the earth, and the last days which is from Pentecost until whenever, no one knows.I think also it can be argued that the Church has always said the end of the world is “imminent”.
Seriously Hope.did Jesus backpedal
And they are correct. My former priest, and current priest said that no one knows when and that it could be a looooooong time
