Didn’t Our Lady say in several of her apparitions that there would be a reign of peace for at least a little bit of time, after these bad times we are going through?

Technically, someone called me Jeremiah today… I’m the resident doomsayer of CAF

I sincerely hope that we haven’t opened up a big can of worms tonight.

I’m personally a fan of Steven Paul’s book, “The Apocalypse, Letter by Letter”, and I agree with most of his interpretations. He believed that the symbolic language of Revelations should be understood through the same symbolic language of the Old Testament, and having a solid understanding of both Ancient Greek and Church Doctrine he made a commentary sharing his insights.

His interpretation is that John didn’t just see a glimpse of the last couple of years of the world, but he saw all the major events of Church History from his days until now and beyond. Accordingly, he thought we were around the time of the Second Woe, and that the next major event will be a new Schism that will cause even a third of the Cardinals to leave the Church.

I really get tired of these “are we in the last days” type of threads on a Catholic forum. The answer is emphatically YES. That is Church teaching and has been for 2000 years. We have been in the last days since the Ascension into heaven. From the CCC:

670 Since the Ascension God’s plan has entered into its fulfillment. We are already at “the last hour”.554 "Already the final age of the world is with us, and the renewal of the world is irrevocably under way; it is even now anticipated in a certain real way, for the Church on earth is endowed already with a sanctity that is real but imperfect."555 Christ’s kingdom already manifests its presence through the miraculous signs that attend its proclamation by the Church.556

It is truly sad that only 25% of those polled on a Catholic forum know the correct answer.

How will youngsters of today cope without electricity?
I’d say everyone needs electricity. But if electricity ran out. I’d like to live how people lived back in the day. Without wifi and all these devices (which i am on) that take over our lives 😱 😱 😱 😱 😱

Words and thread space are not endangered or extinct …yet

Nonsense, we don’t need electricity.

We do like it though…

well i guess for a luxurious life. But what about hospitals and other services requiring electricity? Im sure we can agree it would be chaos if electricity became nonexistent in today’s world?
