The end is nigh?

Easy for me. I would go outside to our creek, fill a bucket with water, and pour it in the toilet’s tank. Next thing you know, flusssssshhhhhhh. 😉

My opinion is that we are living in the End Times, literally not figuratively. That’s an informed opinion, on which I may be completely wrong
You are not wrong, it is defined dogma of the Church.

What confuses me is that so many Catholics post on these threads and do not seem to know the least thing about the Church’s eschatological teaching. If I was one who thought the world was coming to an end in my lifetime, I would certainly take the time to understand what we know about such things.

I believe we are living in the End Times, but so were my parents, and their parents, and their parents before that.
It is important to differentiate between the collapse of an empire, and the end of the Age. They are not necessarily going to be the same thing, unless of course we believe nothing could possibly exist past our own little empire.

“Oh bother,” said Pooh, as he chambered his last round…

I don’t know… doesn’t feel like the end is nigh here.

Do you believe we are living in the last days?
Yesterday I was eating a burger that was so good that God himself would have to return to pry me away from it’s tender juicy goodness, so yes, I believe Christ will return. He has too. Meanwhile, I’ll be eating my Burger 🍔🍔🍔

Thanks for sharing!! I don’t know much about this but got something more informative on this.

Someone revived a two year old thread? I guess the end is never coming…

I will have to remember that if I ever go bear hunting. 😂

So far, I only hunt elk, mule deer, antelope and Barbary sheep.

What we are currently seeing are the effects of global warming (anomalous seasonal and weather conditions), peak oil (high production costs as part of diminishing returns, and also seen in mining, etc.), fallout from increasing debt (volatile stock and commodity markets, including oil prices, with more investors engaged in riskier financial speculation in order to maximize returns), ecological damage (from pollution to species die-offs), and related issues, such as increased vectors for the spread of disease (i.e., extended cold or warmth and/or increased human population and economic activity in relation to wilderness areas, travel, etc., plus increased urban migration and greater strain on public utilities, from water to electricity to sanitation), greater possibility for more conflict due to multi-fold increases in arms deployment and use worldwide, and so on.

Not exactly on topic, but starting on Tuesday I remembered to start praying again Psalm 91, since i was reminded of an Fb post about the power of the holy name of Jesus as among others ,protection against illness or plagues. psalm 91 was something I prayed regularly years ago along with holy oil.

As i was praying, i realized that i did not remember exactly the last few lines and made mental note to look it up online and save it on my phone.

It didn’t materialize to me that the reverse of 19 was 91, until just a while ago in a Viber group, someone forwarded this msg.:

"Sometimes you don’t know what to believe… got this from another thread… just sharing…
Has anyone ever thought that there is a hidden message from God about the COVID-19 outbreak?

Reverse COVID-19 …
( 91 - DIVOC)

91 - Psalm 91
D - Destroy
I - Influenza
V - Virus
O - Outbreak
C - Completely

Recite Psalm 91 with all your might and spiritual strength :pray:t3::pray:t3:"

And for some Catholics, we’ll be making the consecration to St Joseph on March 19.
