Ahhh…but see? They “indulged” in a child. If they were truly going to practice what they preached, then no children would have been the only way to do it. They had one child, sure, but what was stopping their one child from having only one child? Or their grandchild from only having one child?and they put their Malthusian principles into practice by limiting themselves to one child. Ehrlich had a vasectomy in 1963, shortly after getting tenure at Stanford.
My grandparents only had one child- yet look at what their granddaughter went and did!
