Russian “trolls” are not as common as you think.
Sorry—I deleted that post.Russian “trolls” are not as common as you think.
quit ruining my fun.The net is an impossibly big place, even if you had an army of key board corps (for lack a better term) with top of the line web spiders they could never have enough time or energy to do what you claim.
And I agree with him.Trump is cracking down on legal immigration. It’s safe to say that he’s anti-immigration as a whole.
This is really key.blackforest:
My grandfather came to the United States over a hundred years ago when the country needed men with strong backs to dig coal and work in industry. He was interested in the work, it was a good match. We don’t have that kind of opportunity available now. The fewer number of jobs requiring a good back can be filled by folks already here.We use the more accurate word “undocumented,” not “illegal.” To be in this country without papers is a violation of civil law, not criminal law.
The immigrants we do need are highly educated and technically skilled people.
Migrants prefer to go to areas with thriving economies. If your area picks up economically, more folks will move in- regardless of whether they are from foreign nations or from elsewhere in the UK. Its a “chicken and egg” thing, migrants follow jobs, not vice versahere in Scotland we haven’t seen huge numbers of migration and I think our economy is worse off for it.
If that’s true (that farmers can’t legally hire enough workers to pick crops), as someone said in another recent thread, there’s already a mechanism for that, the work visa. This actually isn’t true. http://fortune.com/2017/08/08/immigration-worker-shortage-rotting-crops/
The people who support illegal immigration don’t like the term “open borders” and say they’re not for that.16000:
This is a strawman. Bernie Sanders doesn’t support “open borders.” And absolutely nobody has proposed removing 100% of the screening process for immigrants. If you support open borders you are engaging in the Satanic endeavors of child sex traffickers.
Where would you suggest housing illegal aliens while their cases are being adjudicated?cities, where undocumented immigrants can stay safe from such nonsense as federal imprisonment.
Okay. It’s a little more complex than that. Explainer: Why can't immigrants here illegally just apply for citizenship?
Perhaps the feds should facilitate work visas for farm workers. I don’t see that happening in this climate.
On the subject of sanctuary cities, there are arguments and counterarguments. They do favor a screening process. They just don’t favor the current screening process. Hence the sanctuary cities, where undocumented immigrants can stay safe from such nonsense as federal imprisonment.
