Bunch of BS The only power involved here is Elevating The God called pro-abortion onto the Churchof course. but nature dictates that life must do everything in its power to survive.
The unborn child is LIFE. An unborn LIFE does everything in its power to survive.of course. but nature dictates that life must do everything in its power to survive.
this is the pro-abortion person’s trump card: “what about the life of the mother? how can you be pro-life and not make an exception for the life of the mother?”a moral dilemma. a choice between two evils: the evil of letting both die or the evil of aborting the fetus or embryo. this one is easy. save the woman, if thats what she is pleading for.
theoretically: if she is the last female on earth, nature wont have it any other way. the species must survive.
There really is no more dilemma as a choice between mother and child rarely if ever comes up. Other than etoptic pregnancy can you give us a situation where a child needs to be aborted to save the life of the mother?a moral dilemma. a choice between two evils: the evil of letting both die or the evil of aborting the fetus or embryo. this one is easy. save the woman, if thats what she is pleading for.

It is so rare as to be insignificant to discussion like this. The only reason it is bought up is to try to push the discussion to the extremes rather than focus on 1.2 million children slaughtered a year. As we have seen with Doe V Bolton the health of the mother clause is stretched to cover any abortion from the moment the child is conceived to the moment his head fiully exits the womb. A woman need only say she is afraid of childbirth and she must be allowed to abort her child regardless of gestation or any other circumstances.this is the pro-abortion person’s trump card: “what about the life of the mother? how can you be pro-life and not make an exception for the life of the mother?”
how often does this situation arise, if ever? there is never any moral ground for aborting a fetus, period. life begins at conception and no one has the right to terminate an innocent life but god himself.
No, you are incorrect. It is not a moral dilemma. With the exception of an ectopic pregnancy, (the Church’s position on this has already been explained here) can you give me an example of a situation where the child MUST die to say the mother? Note I am not asking for a situation where the mother’s life is in danger during delivery or other circumstance where she MAY die in an attempt to save the life of the infant. Zerinus could not answer this, and I doubt that you can too.a moral dilemma. a choice between two evils: the evil of letting both die or the evil of aborting the fetus or embryo. this one is easy. save the woman, if thats what she is pleading for.

i was referring to the scenario that the injured pregnant women is the last female on earth. The unborn child is LIFE. An unborn LIFE does everything in its power to survive.
Resorting to the most unlikely situation to make your point will get you nowhere.i was referring to the scenario that the injured pregnant women is the last female on earth.
if you make an exception of abortion under medical emergencies only, you will still save 1.2 million children. The only reason it is bought up is to try to push the discussion to the extremes rather than focus on 1.2 million children slaughtered a year.
Good-Daughter knows what I am talking about. I started this thread partly in response to hers. What does mormonism have to do with this? . . .

puppies, kitties, babies…no differenceAMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A hospital in the Netherlands — the first nation to permit euthanasia — recently proposed guidelines for mercy killings of terminally ill newborns, and then made a startling revelation: It has already begun carrying out such procedures, which include administering a lethal dose of sedatives.
The announcement by the Groningen Academic Hospital came amid a growing discussion in Holland on whether to legalize euthanasia on people incapable of deciding for themselves whether they want to end their lives — a prospect viewed with horror by euthanasia opponents and as a natural evolution by advocates.

No, Mormonism allows *direct *abortion of some pregnancies, where killing the baby is the intended goal of the procedure and as a result, the mother’s life/health/sanity may be saved.Well that is more or less what Mormonism teaches. The terminology used may be different, but it amounts to the same thing. So what is the problem?

I believe you.Try to get an active Mormon to tell you whether a preborn baby is a living human being. In my experience, you won’t get an answer.
I recently started a thread, trying to learn when human life begins, according to Mormon belief. zerinus, given the opportunity, chose not to give a direct answer(fair enough) and started this thread shortly after.Good-Daughter knows what I am talking about. I started this thread partly in response to hers.

Momrmons Hate Babies or they would baptize thier infantsGood-Daughter knows what I am talking about. I started this thread partly in response to hers.

Dear zerinus,If you wan to talk about that, you can do so by starting a new thread. I am not stopping you to. I started this thread in order to talk about this subject. Just because you want to talk about that subject, that does not mean that I shouldn’t talk about this one.

Jodi:It is not okay to kill deformed or not perfect babies in the womb of their own mothers. It is not okay to decide you want a boy and kill a girl. It is not okay to decide that because the baby has spina bifida it is okay to kill it. It is not okay to kill a downs baby. These babies are people too. I work with these babies they are special and loved. They deserve a life. I know life as the parent of a special needs child is not easy as I live it every day but that is no excuse to kill your child. Even if my son only had a few days to live I would want him to have those few days to live rather than dismembering him inside my own body. Even if he had 0% chance of surviving I would keep him alive as long as I could cherishing every kick that made me want to pee until they stopped. I DO NOT approve of killing children who are not up to their parents standards and I am proud to be a part of a church that will back me up with solid religious teachings.

Well AgnoTheist, what, if anything, is even logical about this argument?i was referring to the scenario that the injured pregnant women is the last female on earth.
