I am paid by telling it as it is; no cover-up, no hiding the truth. You must get paid per insult
But you don’t. When I raised the exceptions your church has, you said that means that they don’t have any.I am paid by telling it as it is; no cover-up, no hiding the truth.

I would be closer to the harlots that will go to heaven, that is true.Yes, it does. You said that the harlots are going to get to heaven before me. And of course you think you will. Therefore you’re closer to harlots than I.
Actually, it was the Lord who said that, referring to the Pharisees. I applied it to you because you display the same traits as they do.You are the one, not me, who separated me from the harlots by saying that they’ll be in heaven before me!
That is not true. I didn’t say that. I said that the LDS Church disapproves of abortion, period. That covers 99% of the cases that in practice may arise. The exceptions are extremely rare, and designed to protect the health and safety of the mother. But you don’t. When I raised the exceptions your church has, you said that means that they don’t have any.
That’s pretty much under the category of ‘cover-up’.
Try this link. Click on “Additional information” to expand, and see a definitive list of exceptions.I’ve also asked which is the definitive list of exceptions.
The exceptions are extremely rare, and designed to protect the health and safety of the mother.
How are any of these things a danger to a mothers health?
such as when pregnancy is the result of incest or rape, or when the** fetus is known by competent medical authority to have severe defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth**.
Have you even read this entire thread?? Zerinus has tried to make the claim that Catholics do not value a mother’s life as much the unborn child. It has been explained over and over by many others that this is not true, yet he remains unmoved by that and has resorted to outright insults.I like it too. makes sense.
and as for MHalsey’s remark, i dont think zerinus has lost sight of their goal. they just have a different one from you, as do many others.
Who needs an abortion is relevant to our discussion as the entire thread is hinged on it. As a faithful Mormon, haven’t you decided that 99% of the women who have abortions don’t need them? Is that a medical decision or a moral one? There was nothing wrong with their medical care. Their condition was correctly diagnosed by the medical profession. The correct remedy was identified. But it was found to be breaking the law to carry it out, therefore the proper life-saving operation was not performed out of respect for the law, as a result of which the women died.
The best medical care is ineffective if you don’t recieve it. A law that prevents anyone from receiving proper medical care is not a “Catholic” law, no matter what country enacts it.
Too many in our world do not recieve proper medical care. Catholics have, historically, been leaders in fields like education and medicine. Catholics, Mormons and all caring people need to protest poor or inadequate health care and work to fill in the gaps whether it be through prayer, financial support or physically going out to help.
That is irelevant, and it is not for you or me to decide either. It is a matter for the medical profession to decide.

It endangers their emotional and spiritual health (which can have a physical side effects). How are any of these things a danger to a mothers health?

WHAT?It endangers their emotional and spiritual health (which can have a physical side effects).
Why do you deny women abortions when it obviously endanger their physical health?

Who needs an abortion is relevant to our discussion; but neither of us have the necessary medical training to make that decision. That decision must be left to competent medical practitioners; and we must be willing to accept their judgments.Who needs an abortion is relevant to our discussion as the entire thread is hinged on it. . . .
First of all it does not say “deformed baby”. It says that the baby “will not survive beyond birth”. Those are two different things. Secondly, that is a special case that is decided in the interest of the baby as well as the mother. “Safeguarding the spiritual and emotional health of the mother” relates more specifically to the cases rape and incest.WHAT?
So having a deformed baby is now life threating?
You are deranged my friend. Go to bed.Zerinus you are one sick puppy!
Sorry Z, you are the one (along with your cult) that is deranged when you condone (as you are currently doing)the murder of innocent defenseless children!First of all it does not say “deformed baby”. Who decides Z what is in the best interest of the mother? from your LDS links it is the person seeking the abortion that decidesFirst of all it does not say “deformed baby”. Why is Gordon B. Hinkley so quick to speak against abortion? Has he the medical training to condemn the actions of the many doctors who advise abortion? If competent medical practitioners should be left to decide, hadn’t loudmouths like Gordon B. Hinkley and Pope Benedict XVI better be quiet in their unnecessary defence of the unborn?Who needs an abortion is relevant to our discussion; but neither of us have the necessary medical training to make that decision. Either you are deliberately distorting what I believe and say, in which case I have no interest in discussing the subject any further with you; or else you are utterly incapable of understanding what I believe and say, in which case any further discussion of the subject with you would be pointless. Why is Gordon B. How many abortions are done by competent doctors in the U.S. every year? That’s an awfully high number of “exceptional cases”, yet you seem quite willing to accept their judgements.
zerinus, you and I both know we’re aborting the next generation into oblivion (below replacement numbers in some areas), all on the watch of competent medical practitioners. What doctors (and mothers) who contemplate abortion need is the light of Christ. That, ideally, is what people of faith bring to the equation.
