On the more savory side, Hawaiian garlic shrimp or prawns for those of you from the UK or Australia.

There are a lot of shrimp farms on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and quite a few eateries have sprung up to sell this garlicky dish.

I find it a shame that shrimp is sold without the heads in most places in the US. I like to use shrimp heads to make my own stock for use in curries and gumbo.

This thread is making me hungry.

The bacon thing up thread looks like one of my BLT sandwiches.

Nice to see the munching bunny is back.

Yummy.

I’ve come across a steaming bowl of Chowder. Mmmm… 😋

Food! I cannot participate though because I don’t eat lard… is there an exception for vegetarians here

Used to make a version of these and give them out at Church for the feast of St. Lucy.

They look like a small UK rock cake but it’s hard to tell from the picture, I’d say similar to a scone too which rock cakes are also. I wouldn’t call them a biscuit unless they were quite hard and thin. I suppose the creator gets to name the genre so to speak, kind of.

When it comes to cookery though I’m more of a consumer rather than a producer.
