You are right, shortbread is so easy to make, but it is do darn good!!
 
For a really tasty version, add loose-leaf earl grey tea and orange zest.
 
But I can’t…it’s Lent!!! 😩 Wait, there’s always Sundays!! :crazy_face:
 
Unless you’re giving it up, nobody said you couldn’t have it during the week 😀
 
I don’t eat that many sweets, so I’m not giving them up. I’m not giving up any food. 😃 I’m trying to overcome my laziness, instead, so maybe I’ll bake!

My little sister had one of those. Alas, there was never enough that came out of it.
 
I wanted a Suzy Homemaker oven when I was little. Instead, Mama got me a yellow Easy Bake oven. It turned out to be my fav gift that year.
 
Thanks! That’s about as complicated as I can get with my baking, if I can even term it “baking.” LOL

I only liked mine because I could bake cakes in it when my mom said I couldn’t have any more sweets. Then I ran out of cake mix. 😦

We cheated by using the “grown up” cake mix as a filler.

Schwarzwaldertorte (Black Forest Cake) almost always used as birthday cake in Switzerland, though I had a Swedentorte. Haven’t had either since I came home from Switzerland.
