Surely they can make informed decisions. I certainly hope so - they can drive a car 65mph on the highway. They can pass math and english tests requiring critical thinking. They can have boyfriends and girlfriends and even engage in the marital act. They can be parents.

Meanwhile, there are mentally retarded adults that cannot drive vehicles but can get married.

It is much MORE logical to allow teenagers to get married than homosexuals - you should be fighting for their rights.

If someone wishes to take up that cause and lower the legal consent age more power to them. I will not be doing so.

No, I will concede that it can not. That does not change the fact that there are hetero couples that can never have children. Woman who have a TAH for instance.

No, I am not saying that. I believe that you must reach a certain level of maturity to make an informed decision. Our society has chosen the age of 18 as that age. Now, we all know that some people are capable of making an informed decision prior to being 18, and some are not capable until they are much older then 18. but we have to set a limit, so we choose 18.

Ok. So we agree that NO MATTER WHAT, sperm cannot find an egg in a rectum. Nor is sperm present at all with two women showing affection to each others’ reproductive organs.

Yes, if they decide to attempt to reverse those procedures. I see where you are going with this, but it still does not excuse women who have a TAH or men who have their testicles removed due to an illness such as cancer. Or woman who have gone through menopause.

Environmental factors. Learned behavior. Experience. Conditioning.

They all go into the underlying assumptions we make when we go through life.
