Since we now can better prove Macro Evolution is true, what effect do you think this will have on homosapien Morality?
After reading this thread I thought I would reply to your post in the same way I witness to non Christians. Here are several reasons why science has not even set foot on the path to life or explaining its origin.
DNA and RNA, scientist know what a DNA string is what it is made of and have even cracked the binary code. What they cant do is create a single strand of DNA from scratch, but they will tell you it just happened all by itself. In the search to construct DNA in the lab science has found that the medium that holds the most promise to construct DNA in from scratch is types of clay. Hmmmm go figure that in Gen it says that God created Adam from the dust of the earth, hmmmm nothing new learned here if your a scripture / bible believer.
Even if scientist could construct all the components of a one celled “simple” life form, hehehe simple thats an understatement. I would not hold my breath that the key to life has been unraveled, and here is why. Scientist for years have had all the parts to reconstruct a single cell. Here is how it goes, scientist place a cell in a solution that is the same as the fluid inside the cell itself, then they take a needle and punch a hole in the cell wall draining all the little “simple” parts out of the cell into the solution. Wal la there you have all the parts including the DNA already made, the problem is they can never put humpty dumpty back together again. So what will it prove to be able to construct all the components if you cant take the pre made ones and make them work?
As I mentioned above God created Adam from the dust of the earth and science is hot on the trail to constructing DNA from scratch “in clay” I can save them some trouble by simply reading the rest of the verse in Gen. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
I dont know where they are going to get a phaser that shoots life into nonliving compounds but lets just say for sake of discussion they did and managed to get a single cell to live. Mathematicians will tell you the chance of all the compounds including the DNA string coming together by chance is like zero in 14 billion years. Again you still have the problem of making it alive …remember humpty dumpty?
I’ll end by saying after you have a simple single cell living the next problem is it evolving into a higher life form. Higher life forms are more complex, that means a lot longer DNA string, “more carefully constructed, error correcting code that contains all the information for the construction of every cell and organ in a human body”. The mutations or differences observed in life forms from generation to generation today is ALWAYS I repeat ALWAYS because of lost or more correctly stated damaged DNA. Science can not produce one case of mutation that shows more information has been added to the DNA. So its just as I thought, we are not getting better, we are winding down just like the universe, our DNA from Adam to us is in a state of decline, no new information.
So until scientist can mix some compounds in a test tube, shake it up and out crawls a living, one cell, asexual reproducing creature I place Darwin’s theory next to Humpty Dumpty,
