Here’s an article by Steve Ray, who’s been to the Middle East innumerable times and who has many Muslim friends.

"I have written before in this publication and in others, and have broadcast on my television show in Canada, about the reality of Islam and Muslim attitudes towards Christians. It’s one of the reasons why I receive death threats and abuse. But this story cannot be told often enough.

And the indifferent, secular world has to be reminded and reminded again that the genocidal eschatology of fundamentalist Islam, now the driving and dominant trend in the religion, has to be resisted for the sake of the entire democratic world—but most immediately for any Christian living in a Muslim-dominated country."
What’s you point in relation to the comedy. Obviously I understand the above I posted the link from the Copt. he has a 60.-million dollar bounty what are you saying?

Muslims are trying to clean up the stereotype. They no longer want to be viewed as dusty desert dwellers with AK-47s. Playing in NY and Boston. You convert to Islam you get in free. 😃
Why do you suppose it is that Catholics don’t have the stereotype of being suicide bombers and AK-47 wielders? Why isn’t anyone afraid that a devout Catholic might blow themselves up for God? Why aren’t people afraid of offending Catholics the way they are afraid of offending Muslims? And those Islamic fatwas. Why do people assume that only Islam has those?

You cannot judge all of Islam based on a small minority who are extremist and terrorists.

Catholics do have a stereotype why do you suppose that is? Crusades, Constantinople, the Aztecs. 🤷
Then why aren’t people afraid that Catholics will kill them if they offend us? If what you say is true then the secular media and Hollywood should be scared to death of ever saying anything that might offend a Catholic. Why is this not the case?

  1. Probably because it’s much harder to meld extremism with Catholicism
  2. Why do people assume that only Catholic priests abuse kids, Catholics oppress women, hate homosexuals, have as many kids as possible, are drunks, are violent hooligans (at least Irish Catholics), are unthinking followers of the Pope, etc? The problem with trying to base your argument on a stereotype is that there are always stereotypes for your own particular group.

I guess it just depends on where you are in the world and I think the US has, since 9/11/2001, been conditioned by the media to think of Muslim extremists as more frightening or common than Christian extremists. The US media will spend hours, days even, talking about a terrorist incident or human rights violation involving Muslims, but there hasn’t been much coverage at all on such actions committed by Christians since The Troubles. An article here, a soundbite there, but by-and-large they are ignored.

I agree. We should follow the Pope’s lead on this, and he has repeatedly spoken of the esteem and respect he has for Islam and Muslims.

First of all there are no Catholic Kingdoms. Second of all America was Protestant and they still feared and persecuted Catholics. They fled the Pope and KIng of England

Oh you don’t think that’s part of American History? What do you think occurred here in America with the Catholics and Protestants. It was “all” fear motivated.

And by large its not that way today because people learned to live together. To a degree.

But I think there’s a substantial difference between the fear of meeting a bad Catholic and fear of any random person getting blown up by a random suicide bombing of a Western interest done in the name of Islam. I’m not saying that all Muslims are like that. I know that most aren’t. But because there are so many of them a small percentage is still a lot of people. That’s why there seems to be a near endless supply of Islamic suicide bombers. And the chances of a terror attack done in the name of Islam is high enough to have just about every world leader constantly worried about it. It’s the reason why we have to take off our shoes and go through what almost amounts to a strip search every time we are about to board an airplane. Just when the U.S. government seemed to think it had nothing to worry about because of how much it was bending over backwards to appease Muslims the Boston bombing happened.

You logic makes no sense. 🤷 Neither does your argument. 🤷

One you have no answers to the projected state we are in today, it makes no sense by you logic’ I’m not sure why you are confused. But then you offer arguments by nonbelievers.🤷 Who could make sense of that?

Two all who came here were Christians. We are now called the culture of death. Atheism is in fact what filled the void, We are far from an atheist country.

Three I’m well aware of the indian wars. You have no answers to the very real facts already proposed… And fast forwarding to today certainly makes no sense by you logic. You would have restate your facts. I replied to what you posted above. Facts were not among your comments.

Here’s your argument in a nutshell; “For my part, I’m aware how the behavior of people changes when they have the majority, or all of the guns”

We have all the guns today, and unlike the Indians, YOUR example the muslims remain. And if you don’t like comedy be angry and don’t watch it.This is what a hasty retreat?

I think you underestimate these Christians in America, And by large this idea of ignorance doesn’t exist with anyone I know.

And with those who this Islamic ignorance does exist with, where do suppose this ignorance comes from? And we should hide and avoid Islam because of this taught ignorance?

I think we should start a comedy, and further thinking if we are not going to agree with them living and interacting in America, the American way. Then why are we pretending we should sing kumbaya and be friends?

Here the start as I stated.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_massacre_of_1622

"Unlike John Smith, other early leaders of Virginia such as Thomas Dale and Thomas Gates acted on a different notion because they were military men and saw the Powhatan as essentially a “military problem”
By the 17th century Europeans were excerting their strength. If you look like wise to New France, and Champlain. You’ll see yet another example. 🤷 By the 19th century woodland Indians were but a foot note.

You have no argument, the fact we are “far” from an atheist country doesn’t explain atheism filling the void in a once all Christian country or the culture of death. Your wrong as linked about the Indians and to your extended logic from the Indians to the muslims is self evidently wrong. According to your logic we would be ruling the world today.

It doesn’t stand to reason.

  1. As an American you are far more likely to suffer from a violent attack while visiting a city than suffer from a terrorist attack. Urban violence is most often caused by military aged non-white males. Should we now create policies and laws and embrace a stereotype concerning young non-white males out of fear of being a victim of a violent crime? Basing or justifying anything on fear is not the answer.
  2. The security measures we now go through at the airport are a joke. They were put in place to placate the public and show the government “doing something.”
  3. The US government is appeasing Muslims (here I am assuming you mean the extremists)? While I don’t care for this Administration, you can hardly argue that it is appeasing Muslims (Bin Laden, increased use of drone strikes, etc.)

The bottom line is you cannot have it both ways. Your either going to live with these people just as the Pope states and as America freedom indicates, or you need to come up with a new ideal for America.

But what you cannot do is teach hate and avoid them. Or act like your living the Popes message and avoid them and teach paranoid fear under the premise of Christian love. That’s a recipe for disaster. And that is the path they were on and are adjusting now. So too does Christian America and the remainder of America need to adjust.

At the college I attend there are so many Muslim women in burkas that if I didn’t know I was in America I would assume that I was in one of the more Muslim countries in the Middle East (and I’ve been there). In my whole life, I’ve never seen so many women in burkas in America. There are large groups of them everywhere on campus, and many of them are in full burkas which only show the eyes. I’m not going to lie. When I see the burka, I think “serious Muslim”. When I think “serious Muslim”, I think “how serious?”. Because, statistically, the more serious about Islam a Muslim is the more of a chance there is that they could be an extremist or be connected to one. The secular Muslims are the ones that I’m not worried about. But things have definitely changed since Obama has been in office and since the government has been going out of its way to welcome Muslims here. So, yeah. I have no choice but to live with it.

So, your saying I’m wrong? I guess. If history doesn’t present an argument for the truth I’m not sure what will.
Here’s a nice vid for you to enjoy.

I have a lot of Muslim friends myself and they are all over the world, many from my years at the university and they are definitely different then the ‘friends’ of this Steve Ray you are quoting. Hey, everyone is trying to make it on the New York Times bestsellers list even Catholics and one way to is to feed the frenzy and paranoia. With what disposition did Steve Ray go to the Middle East? What was his purpose? What are the other reasons his life has been threaten? Who has threaten him and why?

Why is it that these notifications and warnings in the form of books need to be given? If the Muslims are simply a bunch of blood thirsty lunatics these ‘news’ and ‘bulletins’ should not have to be published. It would be something that the Muslims would always have been, they should have been bombing people up and blowing themselves up all the time. What has changed?

I wish someone would write up a list of all that the Muslims have suffered in let’s say these past 50 years. How many millions have been killed? How brutally were they killed? How many have been injured? How many children have died most horrible deaths? How many children have been killed? What disturbing effect can such horror have on a population? etc, etc, etc,

Why isn’t the Pope trying to make it into the New York Times Bestseller’s list. I am sure he can use the money for the poor. Why is it instead that he is trying to work for peace. The Pope has not told us to beware of Muslims and that they are a bunch of lunatics.
First of all, if you watch EWTN or listen to Catholic radio, you know that Steve Ray is a Catholic convert that leads many pilgrimages over to the Holy Land and has spent a lot of time in the Middle East. I first heard him talk about this subject on Catholic radio about a week ago. He has no agenda or reason to make things up about Muslim people. What he said surprised me. I was expecting him to say we should promote peace with the Muslim people. What he said was that we should study our own faith as well as Islam so that we can understand what those people believe. I don’t see anything wrong with that idea. He also went on to talk about how Christians are being persecuted in the Middle East and the small amount of coverage by the mainstream media.
Here’s something I found on that subject:

"At the July 2013 briefing on religious freedom in Pakistan hosted by U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, Peter Bhatti said, “Christians feel insecure and fearful in their motherland. These (blasphemy) laws have encouraged hundreds of incidents during which innocent Christians have been victimized, persecuted, burnt alive, and had their churches and properties burnt and demolished. Many people currently are in prison and waiting for trials.”
