Australia is testing two drugs having a positive effect on mitigating the illness in patients, one is an old HIV drug, the other is chloroquinine, a malaria drug… The researchers in Queensland say these drugs are looking effective at curing patients. Conventional drugs used with flu have not worked in curing or helping the patient.

How is your daughter in law going atm with the airport activity these past few days.

I think we will head into wartime like rationing if all this panic buying continues.

Speaking of panic buying…if there are any smaller grocery stores by you that are not the big chain ones…odds are they have what you need.

By me a 5 minute drive from each other Stop and Shop was cleaned out and the smaller Pioneer with no parking lot had 15 shoppers and everything available except regular chicken eggs (organics and other odd eggs like duck and quail).

She is in the administrative part and says it is bad and will get worse!

Bidet/Bidet attachments/ along those lines. Google Home Depot. I have no access right now to help you.
If you are handy you can install it yourself.
As for facial cleansing, a little towel( several ones) which you may make yourself out of old towels and sew a nice trim if you enjoy sewing. Goes to the washing machine.
Hope it helps…

In Asia, I have seen small hoses with a shutoff nozzle that attach to the toilet water feed. Use that to rinse your bottom when done and then use a rag for drying. Old t-shirts work well as rags. Wash used rags separately on hot water setting with bleach detergent. I don’t remember seeing these hoses at the local Home Depot, but I suppose I can order from Amazon or similar.

In the Philippines, they have the tabo (roughly translates as dipper) along with the timba (large pail) of water. They might not have toilets that flush so the tabo is used both for personal cleanup and also for pouring water over the toilet to flush it into the drainage. You’ll see this almost everywhere in the Philippines. The usual thing is to make sure there is water in the timba before using the toilet so you can clean up. For tough cleanup, they’ll use their hand with the water and then wash their hands with soap when done.

Just saying there are options in case I run out of toilet paper and can’t get more. Or was that TMI?

If you really want to get a kick out of this, you ought to check out the Japanese toilets. The more advanced models do everything for you. Send a little jet stream at your bottom for cleanup, then blow air in there for drying. You can even set it for warmth of the water and the air blower. Amazing. Was that TMI too?

You can find them in Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and probably other stores of the like in US.
