There is a cruise ship quarantined because of one person who had corona virus on it. Now I think 10 of its passengers have tested positive. Everyone is locked down on it in quarantine.
Today the deathtoll is almost 500. Has anyone seen predicted stats for if this is the peak or still climbing?

For which hemisphere thought, because then it will be summer in the north and winter in the south.

The largest vehicle for this virus might be the summer olympics, set for Tokyo this year. Athletes are busy trying to qualify at the moment, lots of travel that is not tourism. Travel to pretty remote places for competition and training.
That concern is starting to be expressed.

Newborn infected with coronavirus in China’s Wuhan​

WUHAN, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) – A newborn in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, the epicenter of the novel coronavirus outbreak, was confirmed to have been infected with the virus just 30 hours after being born, a local hospital said Wednesday.

The infant, born on Feb. 2, is the youngest person recorded as being diagnosed with the virus. The mother had also tested positive for the virus before she gave birth, said the Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Medical experts said it may be a case of mother-to-child transmission of the novel coronavirus.

The baby, weighing 3.25 kg at birth, is now in stable condition and under observation.

If the communists didn’t cover up this none of this would be happening. But they did and now people are dying and others are facing unfair treatment based on their race. I guess that’s the price of propping up an evil regime.
 
Well it’s not unbelievable considering how dense their population is.

The one statistic I would like to know is how many Chinese law enforcement and military personnel are infected ?
 
I read that. If that is true the numbers are staggering.
I read 100 bodies a day infected by the coronavirus
are being burned. If those figures are correct, they aren’t burning them fast enough.

Tencent is not a newspaper, Tencent is a company in China that specialises in products and services to do with the internet, AI technology and also entertainment.

That Japanese cruise ship now has 20 people positive for the virus. This is after an 80yo passenger sailed on it last month. The cruise ship is in quarantine with all its passengers. They are told not to leave their cabins. What a cruise to remember they will have.
There is also another cruise ship with passengers in quarantine now.

The doctor who warned about the coronavirus and was reprimanded by the Chinese government for doing so has died. He continued treating patients after the
government told him to stop speaking out.

He was diagnosed January 30th and died yesterday.
He was in his 30’s.

This is very sad news about the young doctor.

I think all border restrictions and quarantines to contain the virus should be lifted. Just let it spread. It is spreading with or without restrictions. Keeping thousands on cruise ships and wherever is just creating psychological problems. These actions can’t be sustained for long.
Quarantine should be self determined at his point. This burden of quarantine on China is too great.

Yes, but keeping the quarantines and restrictions allows to maintain the few outbreaks to be maintained outside of China. How can letting it spread be a good
soution?
