And that same Church, lead by the Holy Spirit, has said that it’s okay for me to agree with the theory of natural evolution and there is nothing you can do about it. They even allowed you the dignity of maintaining a young earth creationist approach to the bible if you so choose. Unless of course it is your opinion that the Catholic Churches teaching on this matter is heretical.

What I am saying yet again is that I don’t care what the church says about evolution I am guided by conscience and reason and have proven to you that evolution is wrong when it talks about the origin of mankind.
Why you keep ignoring that fact I don’t know but see your at the end of your argument and have nothing further to add, so I wish you well and God Bless.

In one homily by a visiting deacon, he quoted a Church father on that. (Apologies that I neither know exactly which ECF or exact wording of the quote, but I will convey the right meaning.)

The Church father’s position on the passage of Eve being made was that it showed the woman that she was of the same substance of the man. And the man that she was a part of him. In essence, it was a way to teach about the holiness of marriage, that man and woman are made for each to be with each other. And to me, that’s a lot more important for Scripture to convey than a strictly factual account of Creation.

I’m also with IWantGod in saying that so many times it seems Catholic YECs on this forum are so worried about evolution being against God that they denounce it with such fervor that they are forced to denounce Christ’s Church. The Church has allowed Catholics to accept evolution. And if you want to say the Church is in error on that, then you deny the very faith you’re trying to protect.
 
No The reason you see Catholics denounce evolution is because it is a lie being sold to the world that we are in charge of shedding light onto. Not because of any fear.
We understand that if science or any body give proof of a thing then that is fine accepted but when a pseudo based science guided by men who hate God direct it towards vulnerable people at an early age and tell them to swallow hard this fat lie and never question truth or facts about it then I will step in and lead those lost sheep back to Christ if they are willing to hear reason and seek the truth.
 
The Church doesn’t prohibit people from believing in a literal six day creation.

My issue with some posters is that they are flat our rejecting theistic evolution without any clear evidence to indicate that creation is static.

In the words of Cardinal John Henry Newman (who remarked in a letter to a friend): “Mr. Darwin’s theory need not then to be atheistical, be it true or not; it may simply be suggesting a larger idea what of Divine Presience (Foreknowledge) and skill.”

Except that most who lives in this age are more opened to questioning scientific and religious conclusions and will question things such as evolution. You make it seem that everyone who believes in evolution have been brainwashed and have not actually looked into the facts regarding creation.

My question to you is do you have proof beyond a reasonable doubt for a static view of creation?
 
My Friend if you are stating that Darwin;s theory has done no harm then you have not payed attention to the last century.
It is not non believers in evolution that ignore the facts it is the evolutionists who time and time again avoid asked questions and wafflle away from the points being made.
And I’m sure I don’t need to bring up the fathers and tradition to fight science
If it were true I would believe i t.
But It simply is not true and has never presented evidence that is able to stand up to scrutiny.
 
I have presented proof a little of it anyway above in previous posts, your welcome to read through them and answer the simple questions I have asked as no one yet as answered them.

Yes it has and stands as presented above, to my knowledge in this converse no one has knocked it.
 
No the accusation is being made that the church has always had an eye to evolution and I contest that as evolution is only a theory brought about a handfull of years ago, before the 1800.s no one believe in evolution so neither did the church teach it.
Freedom to believe is if science can prove it but when they can’t they can;t and my position is that until they do the bible is clear enough that Adam was created around 6000 years ago and from the time of the Jewish nation until the time of the church fathers we have believed that the 6 days are literal and represent 6000 years until the return of Christ and the restoration of all things unto God.
why else is the Christian world expecting the return of Christ now 6000 years after Adam.

Sevenswords. I doubt you know who God is close or far away from. Why are you talking like a biblical prophet? It comes off pretentious and presumptuous. If you have some special appointment that gives you insight into who loves or hates God, then can you state plainly what that is?

People are trying to figure out the truth. That’s the real truth.
