hi wanner, people are confusing pointing out with interpreting. which is understandable. what i did was to direct someones attention to a prefix on a word.i stay away from interpretations by taking face value the scriptures. some things need interpreting, or, if you will, explaining. for example; eye of the needle. i used to think jesus meant a sewing needle until i read somewhere that eye of a needle was what they called the entrance to a city. it looked like an eye of a needle. but they were made small so camels couldnt get in and poop all over the city.you see, this isnt interpreting, its explaining historical fact, which looks alot like interpreting, and i guess can be construed as interpreting.
I’m sorry, I just started reading through this thread and this post caught me - I laughed out loud!
The city gate was not small so camels couldn’t get through so as not to poop in the city - pleese!

Jesus used that imagery to show how getting into heaven would be difficult - in order for a person, with a camel, carry supplies, gear, earthly belongings, the person would have to unload the camel to get inside the city.

It means, if we want to get into heaven, we must leave our earthly attachments behind us. We have to unload the camel before coming into the city, which is heaven. It’s the story of how it’s harder for a wealthy man to get into heaven - because he has more earthly attachments - not because they didn’t want camel poop in the city!

hi dian, i know the parable was about getting into heaven. i was saying that for some terms in the bible a knowledge of history is needed. and no, you had to park your camel outside the city walls, where they could poop all they want. some cities didnt care and let camels in. but jews were big on being sanitary

Are you actually gonna sit there and tell me that there were no camels (or any other animals, cuz they poop, too!) in Jerusalem, that they were all parked outside the gates in the city parking lot???

Yes, you do need an historical perspective to better understand scripture but your historical perspective is laughable - sorry.

Where in the world do you get this stuff?? Please, no more! You really don’t need to respond to this.

hey SD, how do i put a picture on my posts? and i dont believe for a minute that jesuits brought down the towers. george bush did it. did you se building number 7? it had nothing wrong with it. but you can see in he viedos the demolition charges going off. building 7 had enron headquarters, FBI headquarters , CIA headquarters. bush wanted to get rid of the evidence of his connction to enron and other wrongdoings
There’ll be plenty of time in heaven to find out all the conspiracies (or lack of) there were on earth, perhaps we can leave those theories to the super bored and overly agitated… Personaly I think we probably have our hands full just trying to understand our own lives and what we need to do to stay on that narrow path paved by God.

May God bless you in your journey jp87

hey onegod, my speech about beings on earth befor man might be backed up by scripture. the angels and so forth were there befor men. i suggested that angelic beings were here and that they had a war. i dont remember what scripture backs that up. but i can look for it.
Dear johnpaul,

Genesis gives a pretty clear line of creation and the order of appearance on the earth. Angels did not inhabit the earth as they are spirit beings. I do not mean to be argumentative
but in one stance you say to take the Bible for exactly what it says then in other you say there is more to it than what it written. There are very few references to angels in the Bible and even fewer if you are using the KJV and none have them doing more than visit to earth as sent by God to deliver messages.

hey onegod, say man, youre rite. i opened a can of worms when i used that as an example. i am taking it face value. the word used is replenish. that means something was there befor, correct? plus, angels appear as humans all the time. you know that. the bible says be kind to strangers. you might be intertaining an angel. ill try to find any scripture that backs that up.whoever told me about it is long gone. ill have to inquire to some people who might know. but, its not a pressing issue. but, if i have egg on my face , id like to clean it off
