I’ve skimmed through the Code of Canon Law - is that what you’re referring to? (I don’t remember reading any treaties in that.) But I don’t try to interpret it - that’s a job for canon lawyers.hey JM, i was directed to catholic.org to learn about catholicism. cause i didnt know much but what i saw my friends go thru, catchism, confimation. plus i hear things from people. i get directed to websites. some things i find out are ridiculous.the vatican has these canons. they have all sorts of beliefs in these different treaties and what have you. just millions of pages of stuff. the average joe in the pews kows nothing of these things. ill bet you dont know whats in them either.
Have you ever looked at the book of ordinances for your city’s by-laws? Most citizens don’t read those things - they just get up in the morning, go to work, obey all traffic signs and signals, pay their taxes, etc. without ever concerning themselves with other people’s business. And they get by just fine.
