The reason why young men are leaving the church

There’s nothing with with prejudice in itself, it is in fact necessary to get along in life (e.g. do you scientifically test the nutritional value of every meal you eat, or do you pre-judge that it will be nutritious?). Prejudice is only bad if it is unreasonable, and you’ve said nothing to show that what has been said is false.

I believe that what I said was true, and most of the other quotes seem reasonable.
 
We aren’t talking about food, we are talking about women, roughly half the population. There is nothing wrong with prejudice against food. As the definition I posted above indicates, prejudice about a gender is misogyny. At least you own up to it, that’s a start.

Those statements cannot be proven true or untrue. They are judgements that represent a pre-judgement, or prejudice, about and against women. What I have shown is they are mostly based on logical fallacies and unsupported accusations. If you chose to believe them based on that, I can’t stop you. Like I said, at least you own up to it.
 
Why anyone should care about a definition of some random term you pulled off Google is beyond me.

Just claiming that something is fallacious doesn’t make it so btw.
 
Because, like any definition, it is the standard use of the term:
  • Dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women. - Oxford English Dictionary
  • Hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women, or prejudice against women. - Dictionary.com
  • Feelings of hating women, or the belief that men are much better than women - Cambridge Dictionary
Claiming something is fallacious is logically provable. I could do it for all the statements above, but you can do it for yourself if you understand logic. Whether the conclusion is actually true can be debated. What cannot be debated is that if something is fallacious, the conclusion does not follow from the premises, so if the statement is true, it is a coincidence. It is not proven by the argument.

Why? Because you want schooling in logic or you just want to argue some more? One I will be happy to accommodate, the other is a waste of time.

Actually, it blames men who are in charge of gearing the mass toward women. Women aren’t in charge of those things.

Absolutely true, of course it’s a generalization I said ‘largely carried out by and for women’ key word being ‘largely’ and it is not anti-female. It’s anti boys being forced to attend schools where they are at a distinct disadvantage out of a misguided intention of being ‘fair’ to girls.
 
Mass is boring and repetitive.
The creed and other prayers are just said, not thought about.
Protestants have more dynamic, charismatic preachers.
Society, media, etc tell us it’s stupid and only uneducated hicks believe in this crap.
It’s not cool.
It’s backward, homophobic, islamophobic, sex phobic, etc.
The Catholic Church doesn’t have a good PR department.
There’s no celebrity endorsement.
It’s not commercial.

None of this keeps me from Church, but it does seem that Satan is winning this battle at this point in time.
My old neighborhood had 4 Catholic Churches in walking distance, each with three Sunday masses, now they combined to one parish with one Sat and one Sun mass.

It’s not just young men. It’s young women too.
No young people other than the kids that come with their parents.
Maybe there would be more young men at mass if there were more young women.
It isn’t really about gender though, it’s about pop culture/society.
No sense looking at it as a gender/victim issue.
We need more young PEOPLE

It does blame the men that are in charge directly. But it also indirectly blames the presence and role of women whether they are in charge or not.

To illustrate, reframe it. If someone said, “As long as the voters put Christians in office, our country will be screwed up.” That is directly blaming voters, but it is indirectly blaming Christians.
 
There is no hypocrite like a modern Christian politician. Not Christian at all.

Going to the gym instead of mass…It all seems to me that your struggling with materialism and lack of understanding about your faith. My recommendations;
  1. Download the phone app Relevant Radio. Listen to the men on there like Patrick Madrid and Simon Says.
  2. Download the phone app Fulton Sheen, especially listen to his audio called The Sheen Catechism.
  3. Download the app Bishop Robert Barron listen to his Word on Fire show.
    There are many manly Catholics out there. Hope you try these and see what you’ve been missing. Regardless, we are all trying to get to heaven, as Catholics we do believe in a hell and we are all praying we don’t go there.
 
There is a time and a place for single sex groupings. It doesn’t necessarily mean one is prejudiced against a sex to think so. It’s not unrealistic for a boy to look at a female dominated activity and think it’s just for girls whether we’re talking about a hobby or religion.

Fair enough. The role of women is overemphasized in certain parts of the Church and liturgy and their presence in certain parts of the Church and the liturgy is part of what is driving men away.

Blame the men all you want, just understand that your idea of what is ‘fair’ is more important to you than the eternal souls of those men.
 
Just wanted to share a life hack. There’s a point in debate whether you haven’t convinced your opponent (because it’s an impossible task) but the average, reasonably intelligent reader of the forum is totally agreeing with you. Trust in the intelligence of your audience to distuguish based on the balance of the evidence presented.
 
Good point. Although the Trump thead has gone over 1,000 posts and no one has convinced anyone of anything! But your are right, this is getting tiresome. I’m out of this one.

I often go to the gym as well but why would it be necessary to go that one hour on sunday morning when there’s mass when you have the entire week (and even sunday afternoon) to go
