Good to know I’ll have to have eyes on the trees. Your makin it tough, the doughnut thing was a fishing trip but it’s gonna be tough giving up Wendy’s. Not that I have any prejudice but should I be looking for brown or black :o
I know I shouldn’t be giving information away, wouldn’t be strategically smart, but I do love a good challenge. Look for black. However let me also tell you, some black bears come in brown. 🙂

I suppose banging two pot together isn’t gonna help me. So…how many acorns will it take to cancel the contract :imsorry:

Given that animals are endangered and man is their worst enemy, would it be wrong to furnish them with automatic weapons and ammo? If no, please explain. Likewise, if yes.
No not if they pass the background check and are not mentally ill.

Ahh, so you can be baited with Dunkin Doughnuts. Here I was thinking it was something from Wendy’s.

As for a nap to take, that’s what good bears do. I’m not a good bear and I have things to do. Speaking of things to do I have to go build a tree blind 😃
Ah ha, me thinks we may have found a loop hole.

Only a good bear would be able to pass a background check and who in their right mind would pass up a nap. No arms for this bear :tsktsk:

None.

You’re safe.

You were never my target anyway.

This bear is getting ready for Lent and thinking vegetarian thoughts. 😃

:rotfl:

Clearly you underestimate this bear. Who says about buying guns when making one would be more fun?

And, when all else fails, this bear already owns a good bow and a good set of arrows.

Good thing you’re safe for Lent. 🙂

It occurs to me that this thread does not belong in the moral theology forum. 😛

Thank you for the extra time. Guess I’d prefer a bullet, I bet those long pointy thingies with the feathers hurt. 🙂

I know it’s a bit of a stretch but I think this MAY qualify it.
what about the right to bare arms? Don’t we all have the right to wear short sleeved shirts, as promised in the Clothing-stitution?
Just stating the bare facts 😃

My suspicion is that the thread has been infiltrated by bears posing as humans, here to argue for all the weaponry they can lay their hands on. :onpatrol:
I just realized they don’t have hands.

Silly me.

Do we have the right to give them arms AND hands?

Ummm… I dunno, the Catechism doesn’t address this.

Wouldn’t it be sinful for the bear to use the weapons?
The issue would be…does the bear, existing ontologically  as an animal with limited intelligence, have full knowlege and consent?
And if it is sinful, who would hear the confession? We need a new religious order dedicated to serving the angriest of the angry bears.

I’d imagine the USCCB will come out with a statement on this difficult social issue.

I just had to use the word “ontologically” once before I die.

All this toodoo about nothing. As anyone who ever visited Yosemite National Park already knows, the American Black Bear has curved claws which can peel open the side of a vehicle in seconds. If the bears ever wanted guns they would have harvested all they desired a long time ago from hunter’s trucks.

The park rangers will tell you that bears have discriminating palates (with a preference for imported beers over Budweiser) and are smart enough to figure out which types of cars have window frames most easily peeled open. They disassemble minivans and SUVs far more often than all other vehicle types combined. The cartoonist featured below is NOT kidding.

No, the bears are not interested in guns. Nasty, smelly, loud things. The bears are much more interested in letting us dumb humans wield the guns, then taking the results of our hunt for themselves.

Some bears are smarter than the average human.

How about a religious order serving the hungriest of hungry bears?

My brother once rented a cabin up in the woods for vacation in the Colorado forests. This cabin came with a hot tub and he got the shock of his life when he saw a bear soaking in that tub. The bear seemed to be enjoying it. He wisely decided not to mess with it as he could see that it was a grizzly.

Either it was an extremely small bear or you are pulling our legs.
