Yes, I find the Biggotry aghinst Muslims on this board just stunning, let’s take a look.

And that is a small sampling, my question is will Catholics condemn this biggotry?

Muslims are just like every other culture, they have some good and friendly people as well as some bad people.

The devil in the Catholic Church is so protected now that he is like an animal protected by the government; put on a game preserve that outlaws anyone, especially hunters, from trying to capture or kill it. The devil within the Church today is actually protected by certain Church authorities from the official devil hunter in the Church–the exorcist. So much so that the exorcist today is forbidden to attack the devil. The devil is so protected that the one who is the hunter, the exorcist, is forbidden to do his job.

I had to censor this from the rest of the messages sent to me, but this is only one example, do you really think im going to do anything about this bigotry? NOT when im attacked like that i wont.

Dont think for a second they dont give as good as they get, cause they do, go back and read some of the wonderful insults us Catholics have had to endure as well.

The bottom line is, i would like to see it a lot more peaceful in here, im not full of hate and i dont really flinging insults at people, but as stated, ive been attacked via personal messages and i wont tolerate that.
I am however, nice to people on this board MOST of the time, its when im attacked im not the Catholic i would like to be.

I have not read the quotes you’ve posted, but I have read other outrageous comments. These comments have been launched by Catholics, Muslims, Protestants, Atheists…you name it. Unfortunately, people sometimes behave badly regardless of their political, cultural, or religious heritage.

I’ve commented and asked people to be thoughtful and charitable. Sometimes they retract what they’ve said with an apology and sometimes they don’t. My suggestion is to comment and hope for a retraction. If something is such that it should be reported to the Moderators then I would suggest doing so.

Always say a prayer for those that can’t seem to extend a kind word. This may be a big help in the long haul.

I have not read all the things you note but certainly bigotry has no place. Being vulgar about other faiths is wrong.

It is certainly appropriate to point out the failings in Islam (as Pope Benedict did). Some of the things you posted that you say have been said by others is not in this category. Cannot picture Christ saying them.

We need to share our faith with Muslims in the hope that they will come to a saving knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ.

It really shouldnt be a “tit for tat” issue, there are no excuses for these kinds of comments or emails at all.

Should we now say that all christians are bad because of Fred Phelps?

I condemn such bigotry and cannot imagine that such talk is every warranted and it is certainly not Christian. Frankly, I do not read such nonsense and when I get a whiff of it, I find another thread. Reading it, quoting and typing it are all down the same scandalous path of which I prefer to not partake.

Right, I don’t care about these stupid petty arguments on a intenet board, however the people writting things here are real people, the biggotry shown by people here is written by people who carry that biggotry around with them in real life, that is what I am concerned about, not apologists here getting offended.
