The truth in this analysis makes my shiver!

So does that mean you think I am as good as Trump?
As a child of God, yes. As president of a womens’ club, undoubtedly. As president of the U.S., insufficient information about you to make a judgment.

And it is okay that I have no proof of being a billionaire? Although I hope you will extend to me the trust you give Trump and don’t ask for proof when I say I’m not a billionaire. I also hope that doesn’t make me less in your eyes.

the sovereign then conveys rights and power to men in his sole discretion.
This sounds like the Divine Right of Kings, which is a Protestant notion and not at all Catholic. The only King Who gives us rights is Christ the King.

I believe you.
I also hope that doesn’t make me less in your eyes.
I do not have sufficient information to make any judgment concerning this. It’s entirely possible for a person (and morally permissible) to think “less” of a person in some limited way, as for example, I think “less” of myself as an athlete than I do of some olympian.

We have self government where power resides in the people by design, save for a limited conveyance to government to govern.
Exactly.
That is not going anywhere in the Bible as a model. In the Bible power flows from God to the sovereign,
The people are the sovereign. Does scripture say that is prohibited?
the sovereign then conveys rights and power to men in his sole discretion.
And we know what failure that approach is. Yo m knowledge, scripture does not codify that model.
Retaining the right to disseminate all power as he chooses, and to recapture it if he chooses.
If they can be recaptured, they are not rights, but mere privileges.
In terms of rights, it is life, liberty and persuit of happiness. Mammon is not happiness I would suggest.
According to the constitution, there are numerous enumerated rights, and others not enumerated, according to the 9th amendment.

Cindy’s incompetence and corruption is well documented.
Who. is. Cindy?
Darned autocorrect. Comey

It remains a lie that Putin helped Trump,
The facts are in the Muller report, and the Senate Intel report. The facts are stubborn and resist efforts to deny. They are part of history that denial cannot erase.

The intel is that Putin may have tried to help Trump, but more likely was trying to interfere with confidence in the election system.
He was also trying to help Clinton.

Exactly. Rosenstein stated that no votes were changed, no machines hacked.
That’s the facts of it.

In the biblical times there were no democracies, republics, or constitutional monarchy.
I would venture such ideas would have been virtually alien. Accordingly the Bible stories, written by men, would only have experience with the model where power flows from God, to King and to the people from the king in his discretion.
The French revolution, " enlightenment" and our own Constitution changed the model. A model the Bible stories didn’t contemplate.

So you don’t think Trump is a better person just because he says he is worth billions and because he was elected President. Because that is what I thought you were getting at in your original post that started this little sub-thread.
He’s a billionaire and got elected to the presidency. How’re you doing by comparison?
