There is no excuse for supporting this president

They didn’t prefer Trump. They preferred anyone but him. In the beginning and middle he never really did very well, but the traditional Republican vote was split among a bunch of candidates.

He ran a very savvy campaign, appealing to the people he did, and basically commandeered the Republican party.

Lol, what is this, double secret dog whistling or something?

No, everyone knew voters were fearful of another GOP-elite or establishment politician winning.

Just like it was said the Dem-establishment was for Clinton vs. Bernie.

To accuse Trump of commandeering is utter balderdash, shows little knowledge of what was history and really, seems pretty hateful and offensive to say.

The gop has nominated the likes of Romney, Dole, McCain, preferred establishment candidates somewhat. It’s really not that simple.

I don’t like Trump as a person but I support him as Presiedent and look for the good in him and in what he does.

I think the Russians and Chinese and Iranians and all who oppose the United States love to see us polarized.

Alright. You wanted concrete examples of actual white nationalists. Not just Lee Atwater describing the strategies and how they’ve been implemented the past.

Don Black made conscious efforts to make his messages more palatable to general audiences. They hide their intent in euphemisms, toned-down rhetoric, and shift talking points to open the door to more reactionary thinking.

Likewise, the BNP ( British National Party - Wikipedia ) has made conserted efforts to whitewash (no pun intended) their openly neo-nazi beliefs and rhetoric in new packages that will appeal to broader audiences, and not put off people with their blunt racist ideology. Here is regarding Nick Griffin, the once-leader of the BNP. And their new strategy is about selling ideology. On a stage with David Duke in Texas.

The information is out there, if you’ll take the time, and, engage in some critical thinking.

It’s not double-secret if you are honest with what’s said. Listen to Nick Griffin, in my previous post. 'Instead of talking about racial purity, talk about identity." That’s not secret. It’s out there. It’s about nods and winks to people rather than waving blatant symbols. That’s the alt-right agenda. Among the agenda.

I think so too. Trump wasn’t doing that great in the primaries until he lucked out getting winner-take-all delegates in a couple of states. After that they were dropping out.

If someone could get Ben Shapiro to run, would he beat Hillary?

I would guess that Trump got the emotions going to get people out to vote, where as Shapiro could win debates but not hold the emotional weight to get people out to vote.

I don’t know. Shapiro’s ‘arguments’ are paper thin and easy to shred. He just likes to ‘debate’ low hanging fruit.

I certainly didn’t think Donald Trump had a chance of winning the nomination, let alone the Presidency!

But during the debates, he eviscerated the other candidates, even the female candidates, and they fell apart in the face of his baiting!

I decided that if these Republican candidates can’t even stand up to a fellow American who baits them and makes comments about their body parts or their appearance–THEN HOW ON EARTH WILL THEY STAND UP TO EVIL WORLD LEADERS WHO ARE TERRORIZING THE REST OF THE WORLD AND WANT TO SEE THE UNITED STATES DESTROYED!!!

I don’t care how smart some of the Republican candidates are! If they get upset and fall apart and stumble over their words and even get teary-eyed when someone teases them, they do not posses the “guts” to be President of the United States.

The same thing happened to Sen. Edmund Muskie–when someone made fun of his wife, he started crying, and that was the END of his run for the Presidency back in the 1970s. We cannot elect a softy to the highest office in the land.

I wish that Pres. Trump could be kinder in his speech, but I would rather have someone like him who speaks with candor than someone like Pres. Obama who made fun of people when he thought the mikes were turned off.

i admire strength in a leader. From what we have seen over and over again, Pres. Trump can fire some pretty nasty shots, but he seems quick to forgive, and doesn’t seem to keep a record of wrongs or faults. Many times, he has made it clear that he is ready and waiting to work with Democrats, but they keep dissing him.

I think that the accusations that the Pres. is encouraging bigotry, racism, and mass shootings are devilish and uncalled for. People from the media and many individuals are taking photos and videos and speeches completely out of context and stringing them together to “prove” that the President is a white supremacist. It’s propaganda, and it’s wrong and it’s evil!

Many of the crowds that Pres. Trump addresses at his rallies live and work in diverse neighborhoods and would willingly come forward to help people of different races, nationalities, religions, and sexual preferences. Many of us have given money, volunteered, and worked alongside of people who look, sound, and believe differently than us. Many of us have worked with immigrants, welcomed them into our homes, neighborhoods, churches, and workplaces, and many of us give money to organizations that help settle immigrants. We are not racists and supremacists and Nazis. We believe that our government has failed many of these people by giving them handouts instead of hand-ups, but that is not racist, it’s common sense and respect for people that we know are capable of achieving a good life and making their own personal dreams come true here in the U.S.

Do you think world leaders interact the way Trump acted in the debates? I don’t.

I totally disagree with your entire characterization of Trump, but that is fine. We are allowed to do that, civilly, here at CAF.

I believe it was Nixon who was caught stating his preference for aborting fetuses of interracial couples.
I believe a Democrat shot Martin Luther King, that the Democrat party was the party of the Ku Klux Klan and that they were mostly Democrats that carried out lynchings but that Nixon had no (name removed by moderator)ut into the Supreme Court.

I’ve never heard of “Don Black” so his efforts can’t have been that successful. As far as I can tell, he’s an obscure figure who’s main claim to fame is a radio show on a Florida station that’s programming format focused on Creole and Haitian music.
Likewise, the BNP
I’m not sure what the British National Party, which has only once exceeded 5% of the vote in England, has to do with Republican politics.
Not just Lee Atwater describing the strategies and how they’ve been implemented the past.
George H. W. Bush won 40 states in 1988, including California, Maine, Vermont, and Pennsylvania. If that’s your example of a “Southern Strategy”, I’m going to suggest that somebody needs some geography lessons.

THEN HOW ON EARTH WILL THEY STAND UP TO EVIL WORLD LEADERS WHO ARE TERRORIZING THE REST OF THE WORLD AND WANT TO SEE THE UNITED STATES DESTROYED!!!
This is how he stands up to evil world leaders:

“I believe that Chairman Kim has a great and beautiful vision for his country, and only the United States, with me as President, can make that vision come true. He will do the right thing because he is far too smart not to, and he does not want to disappoint his friend, President Trump!”

Hillary isn’t running again.

He wasn’t old enough to be president last election.

Examples of reasonable speech that don’t bother Jennifer Rubin:

Former CNN employee Reza Aslan appeared to make threatening statements toward White House Senior Advisor Kellyanne Conway on Twitter on Sunday, which promoted no response from the social media platform.

Far-left demonstrators appeared at Mitch McConnell’s home in Louisville on Monday night and protested the 77-year-old who is recovering from a broken shoulder after he fell. A short clip of the protesters was posted to Twitter by Ben Goldey, a…
Exactly.

Dayton Ohio could have been much worse, that shooter was stopped in 30 seconds the police now say and still killed a great number of people. He was definitely leftist, supported Warren and Bernie Sanders.

Also, busy weekend in Toronto this weekend:

It’s my understanding that they have rather strict gun control but I’m not sure to what extent. Violence still occurred.

Don’t expect these stories to be aired as much, some want an uninformed electorate.

Of course, I support this president, I’m not pro-abortion, I’m not for ISIS terrorism to continue.

An example of an American “white nationalist group” rebranding itself and this rebranding leading to electoral success would be more helpful in supporting “his” argument.
