No, everyone knew voters were fearful of another GOP-elite or establishment politician winning.
I certainly didn’t think Donald Trump had a chance of winning the nomination, let alone the Presidency!
But during the debates, he eviscerated the other candidates, even the female candidates, and they fell apart in the face of his baiting!
I decided that if these Republican candidates can’t even stand up to a fellow American who baits them and makes comments about their body parts or their appearance–THEN HOW ON EARTH WILL THEY STAND UP TO EVIL WORLD LEADERS WHO ARE TERRORIZING THE REST OF THE WORLD AND WANT TO SEE THE UNITED STATES DESTROYED!!!
I don’t care how smart some of the Republican candidates are! If they get upset and fall apart and stumble over their words and even get teary-eyed when someone teases them, they do not posses the “guts” to be President of the United States.
The same thing happened to Sen. Edmund Muskie–when someone made fun of his wife, he started crying, and that was the END of his run for the Presidency back in the 1970s. We cannot elect a softy to the highest office in the land.
I wish that Pres. Trump could be kinder in his speech, but I would rather have someone like him who speaks with candor than someone like Pres. Obama who made fun of people when he thought the mikes were turned off.
i admire strength in a leader. From what we have seen over and over again, Pres. Trump can fire some pretty nasty shots, but he seems quick to forgive, and doesn’t seem to keep a record of wrongs or faults. Many times, he has made it clear that he is ready and waiting to work with Democrats, but they keep dissing him.
I think that the accusations that the Pres. is encouraging bigotry, racism, and mass shootings are devilish and uncalled for. People from the media and many individuals are taking photos and videos and speeches
completely out of context and stringing them together to “prove” that the President is a white supremacist. It’s propaganda, and it’s wrong and it’s evil!
Many of the crowds that Pres. Trump addresses at his rallies live and work in diverse neighborhoods and would willingly come forward to help people of different races, nationalities, religions, and sexual preferences. Many of us have given money, volunteered, and worked alongside of people who look, sound, and believe differently than us. Many of us have worked with immigrants, welcomed them into our homes, neighborhoods, churches, and workplaces, and many of us give money to organizations that help settle immigrants. We are not racists and supremacists and Nazis. We believe that our government has failed many of these people by giving them handouts instead of hand-ups, but that is not racist, it’s common sense and respect for people that we know are capable of achieving a good life and making their own personal dreams come true here in the U.S.
