I’m just trying to clarify, within the context of this thread, where you’re seeing anti-white sentiment. Or was your point off-topic?
To be honest it was off topic based on what I read in the posts immediately preceding it. Just an offhand observation.

But most white people in the South still though blacks were an inferior race.

Let’s not forget that it was a sentiment shared by many northern whites too. Quite a few of the Union Generals were actually quite prejudiced.

I felt this was coming. I have moved to a new area, so I am out of my old church boundaries. When I select the new church, I am going to join the Knights. I have been wanting to do this for a while, and this has just given me the final push to do it.

It seems that we are being told that we should only have statues of perfect people. The only one I have ever heard of was nailed to a cross for His efforts. Maybe we should push for crucifixes to be installed where they tear down the statues of imperfect people!
From what I’ve heard they’re tearing down crucifixes too. Several have been vandalized in Spain over the last few days.
Why, don’t you know? NOTHING is sacred, anymore!

As for removing crucifixes, certain atheist groups and others have long been suing over crosses, nativity scenes, the Ten Commandments in courthouses and any other religious displays, and the courts have been siding with them. Thus far, this intolerance has only been aimed at public displays. We still can have these things in the privacy of our own homes – for now.

If Christopher Columbus was so bad to the indigenous Americans in Central & South America, then why doesn’t the Republic of Columbia change their name?

After all Mestizos* & Indigenous Colombians make up over 53% of the nation.
Probably because at the time it was named A) Columbus’ history wasn’t well known and B) no one cared what non-Europeans thought.

As for removing religious icons from public property, I’m in agreement…religions should not be favored on government property. However, if the government ever comes to remove religious icons from your private property, I will be there to defend your right to have them.

Chris Columbus is sacred now?

I’m not talking about in the past. I’m talking about today. If Columbus is so bad, why don’t Mestizo & indigenous Colombians TODAY push for the renaming of their country?

I have Taino Indian blood (a lot of it actually). I for one, am extremely glad that Christopher Columbus personally set foot on the island of my non-European ancestors in 1493 because he brought the Church to them.

One thing to remember is we should never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever give in to the mob. Give an inch, they’ll take a mile. And it will not stop on things that might seem “racist” but whatever flighty thing is the “it” thing to mob against next.

And although today one person might be “with” the mob the next minute … if the winds change they’ll come swinging for that person or group. We’ve seen it already. The only the the mob cares about is the mob itself and its power.

I dunno, maybe they should.

We can also never get Italian food or Chinese food or Mexican food anymore… cuz RACISM!

Hey, who wants food?
What kind of food?
Food.
Yeah but like what?
You know, edible food.

Thumbs down. My point stands. Whether a mob is right or not is not the point but the fact the mob is a mob and employs mob tactics. That’s why it’s called a mob.

Yes, of course. I’m aware of that, but thanks for bringing this up. And in 2020, racism is just as prevalent in the North as it is in the South.

So let’s say, hypothetically, during the Great Famine in Ireland a mob gathered and destroyed property and demanded food from their British masters? Would they be wrong? Should they get no food?

A mob: a large and disorderly crowd especially one bent on chaos and destruction.

We have laws and systems in place to change things.
