So the Irish in my hypothetical example should have gone through the proper channels to be fed?

I feel fortunate that, following last year’s diocesan ordination, I was able to zip over to the park and take a regalia-selfie with our patron. I only wish I could have swayed some of my brothers to join me.

Some day soon the statue may be as gone as the regalia 😦

I think some of you folks are going out of your way to miss my points.

I wasn’t referring to Chris Columbus as being “sacred”. I was talking about the crucifixes being vandalized in Spain. Please go back and see the posts I was immediately replying to in regard to this.

The mob I am referring to are these anarchists who are currently vandalizing and destroying everything they personally find offensive – or whatever the current whim is – and I think you well know I wasn’t referencing starving Irish.

Some of this should be obvious. I’m through playing games.
 
Fair enough. But the South had the the infamous Jim Crow Laws and legal segregation. And until 1983, in Louisiana, there was the the infamous “One Drop Rule” in which if just one of a person’s great, great, great parent’s ancestors were black, then that person was considered legally black, even if all their other ancestors were all white. My own mother-in-law, couldn’t marry my father-in-Law in Louisiana in 1965 because interracial marriage was illegal in the state. They married on an Air Force Base in Mississippi because my father- in-law was in the Air Force and the military had no racial prohibitions.

Why were the knights called the knights of columbas? Do we know? I was of the opinion (not that it matters) that the name was because the order formed in proximity to a place called columbas.

For those of you who do not know CC spent a few week in jail after the king and queen found out what he did in the “new” world. He was never seen as a hero or a good person. It was until the guy who wrote the sleepy hollow story (headless horseman) rewrote Christopher’s story for reasons that don’t really matter too this discussion (lets not get side tracked here).

Ergo should be a simple matter to solve this problem. Were the knights named after that Columbus? If so ditch the name. If not then as you were.
 
The knights can’t control that. They can however control their name and perception.

‘Baron’ is out for sounding elitist.
I thought of Barron Trump when I read this news item.
Democrats (President Trump haters) have found a new low way to campaign during a presidential election year.

No one here might want to hear what I have to say. All this madness is leading to one thing…Muslim dominance. This destruction and furrowing and seeding is methodical and with purpose. Fruition starts within one or two presidential election cycles.


Austria is just one.
