Amen!I wish you would just use union people and not working class people. Or union working class people. Most of the country is working class and most of them do not belong to a union.

This is The Princess and the Pea. War on worker’s rights? War??? Please.Further, it’s become a national war on workers rights.
The WI GOP re-classified the bill as non-fiscal then rushed a vote ignoring debate from the lone democrat in the room. On its face, this action is hypocritical and a violation of open meeting laws (illegal). A war… perhaps not. A politically motivated attack… you betcha. If they can enforce this nonsense expect another check to be removed from the checks and balances between corporate influence and state law. This is The Princess and the Pea. War on worker’s rights? War??? Please.
How right you are. In the last few years, unions have lost membership. Many people finally got wise to where their money was going. The union bosses do quite well for themselves on someone else’s money. If people in unions want to keep supporting these folks, that’s fine. As a taxpayer, I don’t. People who work for the government, federal or local, should not be allowed to form a union.I wish you would just use union people and not working class people. Or union working class people. Thank you.A war… perhaps not.
A liberal on Bill O’Reilly said the GOP had started a Civil War.Thank you.
As a taxpayer you don’t. Public employees pay out of their own pockets. Would you be willing to give all public workers the same benefits and conditions as private workers? For teachers, to equal the conditions of private teachers, you would need to build more schools and hire more teachers to reduce class size. Also, things like government furloughs and some state required certification need no longer apply. Do you want your public servants to meet any kind of standard, if so what and do private employees adhere to the same standard (for schools they don’t)?How right you are. I agree.A liberal on Bill O’Reilly said the GOP had started a Civil War.
I thought, wow, now if the conservative had used that kind of language we’d be whistling a different tune.
Walker inherited a balanced budget. His business tax breaks caused the deficit. The rest of your post is…Did you follow that state’s elections closely or did someone tell you Walker did not campaign on a war on worker’s rights? He did campaign, I believe, to get the budget in hand and his way of doing it may not meet with your approval, but he was elected. If Wisconsin does not like what he is doing and if he is not able to bring additional jobs, thus additional revenue, to Wisconsin, the voters can throw him out in four years.
That simply is not true. He inherited a 3.3 billion dollar deficit:Walker inherited a balanced budget. His business tax breaks caused the deficit. The rest of your post is…

Illogical.I wish you would just use union people and not working class people. Or union working class people. Most of the country is working class and most of them do not belong to a union.
Illogical.
Not all working class people but all union members are working class people. You remember sets and subsets in math, yes? Unions are a subset of working class people. Unions and working class people (unionized or not) are all on the SAME SIDE.
You may not realize it. You may not like it. You may think it’s the worst thing ever, but that all doesn’t matter. You and I are on the same side because you and I both have to work to put food on the table and a roof over our heads.
it would not bode well for unions and working class people
He can speak for unions all he wants, an overwhelming majority of them support Democrats and would agree with his statement.I wish you would just use union people and not working class people. Or union working class people. Most of the country is working class and most of them do not belong to a union.
He’s not “speaking for them,” he’s predicting that it wouldn’t be a good thing to be union or working class if Republicans got total power again. I completely agree. He can speak for unions all he wants, an overwhelming majority of them support Democrats and would agree with his statement.
But he can not speak for all working class people, because a majority of them are non union members, and many of them do support Republicans.
Thank you for acknowledging that. What we do for a living, from day to day, may be related in the sense that without it or something like it, we wouldn’t be able to pay the bills. In that sense we are on the same side of the fence.
Yes.Religiously, we may be on the same side, being Christians.
:sad_yes:Politically, we are far apart.
Splitting hairs here, he said plainly that a Republican getting elected as President, not total power. That it would not bode well for unions AND working class people. He’s not “speaking for them,” he’s predicting that it wouldn’t be a good thing to be union or working class if Republicans got total power again. I completely agree.
Yeah, but for only $2, you can buy a bottle of “White Out” and touch up the lab reports.Your physician tells you that you have diabetes and that you have to lose weight and take insulin. If you get mad and scream at him that he’s toast and ignore him, you will die and it will be your fault. You cannot change reality with rhetoric.
Really ? Brad Pitt and Alex Rodriguez are “working class people”. Belonging to an organization does not make one a “working class” person. There is nothing noble in in of itslef of being a union or belonging to a union.Illogical.

Working class people and union people are alike; just that non-union counterparts do not have the rights in the work place as do union represented people. In no case should we be looking at the balkanization of all working class people in this country based on labor status.I wish you would just use union people and not working class people. Or union working class people. Most of the country is working class and most of them do not belong to a union.
Which is exactly what unions do-at expense of other workers -especiallyminorities.In no case should we be looking at the balkanization of all working class people in this country based on labor status.
Good thing that he doesn’t speak for the Liberals, otherwise you’d have had a lot of ammunition to use to be whistling another tune.A liberal on Bill O’Reilly said the GOP had started a Civil War.
