I never went to my grandma’s funeral since I didn’t think I could get through it, and I think it’s better I didn’t. One memory I wouldn’t have wanted to have. I understand the feeling though, it’s rough.

It’s kind of funny, I never really understood before what ‘defending the faith’ meant but now I do. Haha. It’s a useful thing to know, especially with some of the ideas people have about the church.

I like history too and I like to write sometimes, though have never thought of myself as much of a writer. Art is more my thing, I suppose. That’s great though, I bet it would be amazing to get a book published.

Nooooo. Haha. I’m way too shy to be on tv. 😊 I don’t even know if I’ll end up doing that for a job. I sometimes think I’d prefer to have a cake shop or possibly even go into graphic/web design.
Defending the Catholic faith is a huge job! I believe that most people are protestant simply because they were taught false information about the Church.

I enjoy art, but the closest I have gotten to being an artist is poetry.
I don’t draw much or paint.

I bet you would love to do the weather. I am shy also, but when you love what you do you feel more confident. Your other career choises are interesting also…web
design…isint that more of a part time Job?

So what are you looking for in a marriage partner, and what dose marriage mean to you?

I think if I was to be a meteorologist, I’d prefer to be an off camera one. Maybe work for a weather office or something like that. If I was to do web design, I’d probably want it to be just part time since coding websites could make me go insane after a while. Haha. It’ll be interesting to see what I do end up doing.

Hm… I suppose someone with a good sense of humor and not overly serious, fairly good tempered and patient, someone understanding, trustworthy, and respectful, plus someone I enjoy being around! The basics, I suppose. 😃 I suppose marriage would be two people loving and supporting each other through everything and helping the other to be a better person and get to heaven.

Yea doing code can burn you out after to long.I see that you are a little camera shy LOL
I am sure opportunity will have a lot to do with a career choice.

I like your view of marriage.
And I also like someone not to serious, not wanting to argue a lot over little things. And ofcourse laughter is good medicine.
I can’t disagree with you about personality type…we are both looking for the same thing…at least as much as one can tell on computer.

I have been around married people often, and I analyzed what people were doing correct or incorrectly. Marriage is definitely a
divine institution that is losing its purpose in society.
However there are many bible principles to use in defining the marriage.

Yes, it probably is a good thing. Plus I don’t think meteorology is too competitive. Not like some jobs.

That does sound good. 😃

Hi
I hope all is well with you.
I know that some men could be a little intimidated by the thought of
7 children. HOWEVER mabey you can explain the importants of deligation…I know a little about this, the older children help take care of there younger sister and responsibility is deligated to the children. You still are responsible
but you have seven people helping
you, THAT’S A LOT OF HELP.

Its not as intimidating when guys think of it that way.

Things are great, when you start the day in prayer! I have had too many days that were not so good to allow myself to dwell on anything but the possitive.

When it is seven little people, it is not something you explain, it is an experience!I know people who have two or three kids and I dread spending the day with them and avoid inviting over, But my seven are a joy. They know what it means to love. They are amazing. Their favorite place to be is at church.

Help! You would not believe it! They love to help others (you can tell, their own rooms are a mess!) Whether we are cleaning the kitchen at church, or helping friends move, or playing with friends, or digging a garden, these kids put their hearts into it!

I am very lucky!

They are my passion, but they are not me, so to be fair…i must describe me, but how to do that with out feeling like I am writing a resume! hmmmmmm.

I’m still learning! Haha. Haven’t worked up to weekly forecasts yet. Though I usually can tell by the color of the clouds what the weather will be, well, precipitation-wise and such. Just personal observations there, it isn’t in the books. 😃

I’ve always been pretty good at math, though I’ll probably need to take a few more classes before long. My mom says I have a very analytical mind. Haha.

Hm… Good question. I suppose when I lost my grandma whom I was very close to. Trying to find some sort of comfort, I suppose. Also I’ve had a few friends who like to make fun of me for being Catholic and for the morals I have so I wanted to be able to properly defend myself and my faith.
Goodness, we must talk. I really enjoy all forms of weather. People look up to me for outlooks and forecasts, though I just more opinions and thoughts based what I see on the weather models and local NWS forecasts/weather statements. I feel the Lord is calling me to become a meteorologist.

Do you look at GFS, NAM, and GGEM things of that sort? Understand a bit about thickness values, troughs/ridges, cape, dew points, surface temps?

A lot of St. Louis ties here…hum. I’m actually in St. Louis myself but can’t pick up and leave due to obligations. 🤷 Like the city though not too bad of a place to live.

That’s awsome!!
Why not tell everyone about your personality to start?
Are you a perfectionist or laid back
or in the middle?
Are you realy into polotics?
Are you looking to date for an extended time,or a shorter time?

Hey, I was homeschooled, too, like your kids! Good job for you! Homeschooling was a great experience for me and helped me keep the faith and pursue my interests (piano, clarinet, and ancient Greek were my passions during high school). Your kids are lucky to have you as a mother; you sound like a great person!

Well I don’t like many country songs, some are ok though.
I have always wanted to go to an opera but have never been.

So what are you looking for in a guy?
Someone who enjoys the out doors, likes to be active and a strong sense of his faith. 👍

Ok personality, I am a choloric melencoly, which means I am determined perfectionist who never quite reaches the goal. I am looking for some type B to infuse into my blood to slow me down. After leaving this site late last night I was wondering what I would want in the man God sends me… My first thought was some one to give me a bed time and MAKE me stop and go to bed! I frequently take control, but I dont want it. I want God to have it. I want to be led, but I have some trust issues.
So dating will take a while. He has a whole family to court. If he is “Jesus with skin on” for me, it will not be as hard as it sounds.
I am opinionated, so I have stands politically, but am not an activist. I am very Pro-life and pro-family rights. mess with my family and someone is in for a fight. When I had to go into hiding, many people wanted to make us stop homeschooling…Not gonna happen!

My grandpa always told me I was one of those irish who are quite funny with out trying. I like to laugh and see the humor where it just shouldn’t be, Like when a chunk fell off my van, I sat on the sholder and laughed! I prayed…" OK God, you dropped me here now what! I will sit here until you tell me what to do next." I swear after 3 minutes I heard God say, " Silly, call (your friend) and get a ride home!"
Life is too short to be upset by the little stuff!
Kids love me because I am fun, and firm. I hate twaddle as much as they do. We life an exploring lifestyle, if some one has a question about frogs, we go find them. If someone sees a craft they like we go learn how to do it. My kids love the renissance, so we design costumes and have sword fights with foam swords.

Does this help? My kids say I am kind, just and intellegent. I am not sweet. I am more the apple than the apple fritter.

That’s what I would always do too. Haha. You can learn a lot with just that. So far we’ve been working with models called ETA and WRF and are just getting into forecasting with computer guidance models. I successfully predicted the amount of snow we would get from the snowstorm we just had with those. 😃 And yes, all of those things. Right now we’re working on the jet stream and pressure systems, plus lots of analyzing maps, especially the skew-T/log-P at the moment.

Gertabelle, how do you like teaching music? I would have liked to hear the Horton song.

Excaliber, what kind of experience did you have? That was the one with the JWs right?

Eucharisted that’s quite the conversion story. Welcome home! Did you join this year?
I adore teaching music! My students are just so amazing. And being a teacher means serving Christ in these wee ones (K-5). It’s an awesome responsibility, and such a blessing.

Gertie
