Yeah, I saw some coverage that had headlines like that, too. Apparently some people donât understand what the word âexampleâ means.**Cruz Stands by Pledge Unless Trump Shoots Someone

âWell I can give you one example where I would no longer support Donald Trump,â Cruz told reporters in Rockford, Illinois. âIf, for example, he were to go out on Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, I would not be willing to support Donald Trump.â
Though Cruz could possibly get enough delegates for the nomination, he would likely have trouble in the general election against either Democratic candidate. Rubio or Kasich would be much stronger general election candidates. All is subject to change, of course. If people are serious about stopping Trump, they need to vote for Cruz. Rubio and Kasich cannot get the nomination anymore than Trump can without offending base voters (they probably wonât even get 12% of the primary vote).
The best case scenario I see at this point is Cruz winning the delegate count outright.
Our media is so ridiculously literal that itâs almost funny.Yeah, I saw some coverage that had headlines like that, too. Apparently some people donât understand what the word âexampleâ means.![]()
Nice catch. ???The last paragraph doesnât make sense:
The Texas senator also said over the weekend that Hillary Clinton âwould do even more damageâ to the country and be âthe lesser of two evils.â
Hillary would do âmore damageâ but still be âthe lesser of two evils?â
Doesnât make sense.
I know a lot of conservatives that admit they made a mistake in sitting out elections because McCain and then Romney were not the best choices for conservatives. After 2 terms of Obama, they will now vote for whoever the Republican candidate is.In terms of the general election youâre right. (I was referring to people voting or not voting in the primary.) I have even been hearing talk about Trump supporters wanting him to run third-party if Cruz gets the nomination, and non-Trump supporters wanting someone to run third-party if Trump gets the nomination.
Hmmm ⌠so they wouldnât vote for Romney or McCain but they will now vote for Trump if he gets the nomination? Suddenly I think I have a little indigestion.I know a lot of conservatives that admit they made a mistake in sitting out elections because McCain and then Romney were not the best choices for conservatives. Thatâs interesting. I havenât heard anyone suggesting that. The ânot-in-the-mudâ Kasich not holding up his end for Rubio.Except Kasich hasnât returned the favor. He claims he isnât in the business of suggesting how voters should vote. But Iâm wondering if Kasich figures let Trump knock out Rubio in FL and that will leave Trump, Cruz, and himself remaining and then maybe at a brokered convention Kasich will be the establishment pick.![]()
Of the Womenâs Prison Leadership Committee? Not when sheâs being sworn in as president!![]()
I agree. Part of the problem is a lot of GOP politicians are looking over their shoulder because the base, in many cases, betrays its own values.I really disappointed in him. In fact Iâm disappointed in pretty much the whole Republican party, and I donât mean just the âestablishmentâ.
It is amazing that now some have supposedly learned their lesson, but we know there will be a brand group that wonât vote for Trumpâso, as I have said, Republicans are often their own worse enemies. They so often refuse to vote for an imperfect candidate, which just leads to more Democrats winning.Hmmm ⌠so they wouldnât vote for Romney or McCain but they will now vote for Trump if he gets the nomination? She might pull voters who want to vote for a woman. But other than that, not many like her. Some like her husband but even he is losing his sheen. And when he starts with his usual politics of personal destruction, she will pull the gender card and gain symphony from the uninformed voters.
Wow, both of them?Rubio frees up Ohio supporters to vote for Kasich
In a preview of what Republicans will face from Democrats if Trump does win the nomination, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee just released this new video, juxtaposing choice footage of Trumpâs ugliest and craziest moments, with numerous vulnerable Republican Senators all pledging to support the eventual nominee, whoever it is.
You can read the rest at Democrats rub salt in the GOPâs festering Trump woundThis represents an elaborate trolling exercise â it is a Web video whose timing seems deliberately chosen to rub salt in the GOPâs festering Trump wound at exactly the moment when heâs poised to rack up big victories. But as Mike DeBonis reports, it signals a very real onslaught that is soon to come from Democrats, in an effort to âyoke vulnerable Republican senators to their partyâs divisive presidential front-runner.â
Why does everybody assume that the 60% of voters who prefer another candidate are part of the #NeverTrump coalition?I am not seeing whatâs wrong with it. We have to remember that while 35% of the voters are for Trump, there remains a strong 60-65% who do not want Trump and they have every right to use the process to obtain a different nominee. If Trump wins the 1237 delegates outright, then the majority will have spoken and he will be the nominee. But, so long as there is not a majority, all bets are off.
I also donât see people changing their votes based on these tactics.
Iâm trying to stay positive today. Iâll give my negative comments tomorrow. (Well, or maybe during the second of third of You know whoâs victory speeches tonight.Thatâs interesting. I havenât heard anyone suggesting that. The ânot-in-the-mudâ Kasich not holding up his end for Rubio.
Clever.
