Three Days of Darkness?

Growing up my grandmother used to scare me with this. She always told me that she prayed that it would happen in her life time. She used to tell me about the wailing and the gnashing of teeth of the people outside. And that only blessed candles would be able to be lite during the 3 days. It was nightmare time when I stayed with her. I miss her.
St. John (Apocalypse, Ch. 8; v. 12) This could be what we are talking about.

Annd the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the THIRD
PART OF THE SUN was smitten, and the THIRD PART OF
THE MOON, and the THIRD PART OF THE STARS, so that
THE THIRD PART OF THEM WAS DARKENED, and the DAY
DID NOT SHINE FOR A THIRD PART OF IT, and the NIGHT
IN LIKE MANNER.

Yes, fear of the the Lord means respect out of the majesty of God. However, doesn’t scripture tell us " Do not be afraid". I can’t imagine that God is gonna get us. That certainly is not the message of our Lord. We are not worthy to see God face to face. I think our Lord tried to teach us respect , yes we tremble before God, does not the Spirit come to the aid of our weakness.? My point is our loving God, demands our respect and our love, but ain’t out ot get us. Is not his Mercy greater than his Justice? If not, we are all going to hell. Be at Peace
Code:
This is a tme for Mercy as explained by St Faustina…the time of Justice will follow. Our Heavenly Father is always loving and reaches out continually, but sin has its price. And that is repeatedly said in the gospel. People too often sentimalize God not thinking that He is all Holiness. God will not continue to be mocked by His own creatures. He opens alldoors as He did at His Son’s death…but all the decisions we have made will be brought to Justice.

If there are 3 days or 30 days of darkness who cares. Are we not followers of Jesus. Why should we be afraid? The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom should I fear? I guess my point is scare tactics are silly. Special lit candles? For Heavens sake. God is Mercy and Love. Why should we need special candles? Isn’t that putting the Lord God into a magicians box? We should be praying for the coming of his Kingdom. We should be praying for a new Pentecost. We need the Holy Spirit. We don’t need any more fear in this world. God knows we have enough. Pray for Peace, have a Blessed Pentecost!
Dear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom!

Guess who said that? God said that! You might want to think about that in this modern world that seems to think that God is ONLY love and has no righteous justice left in Him.

These apparition points to one thing. “REPENT!” the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

If you are confronted face-to-face with a demon from Hell do you think your professed faith will hold you up? Hyperbole IS NOT faith…it’s just bluster. We will all be tested; and you will be petitioning the Blessed Mother by reciting the Hail Mary. Of this I am certain.🙂

__ Geneisi: “I will put enmity between YOU and the Woman…and she shall crush your head…” 🙂

I hope I’m not mocking God. I certainly am not attempting too. I’m just afraid that the “Fear Factor” that somehow God wants to send us to hell is absurd and cruel. I was terrifed as a child. The nuns consistently taught about a God who really is out to get us. I, at least, teach my children that God is Love and Mercy. Yes, we give God respect and Love, not out of fear but out of Love. I hope I’m not wrong. I can’t imagine a God who is always out to punish us if we are doing what he teaches us. When my children are good, should I punish them? Reverence and Respect is what God wants. I can’t believe he wants Robots who are terrified of him. If God is that cruel, we are all doomed to hell. All of us have fallen short of the Glory of God. Boy, I just gotta believe that God Loves us and wants us to be with him.

We are NOT terrified of Him…we are terrified of LOSING Him.

We are warned not to follow doctrines of demons…and denigrating the Blessed Mother is the worst of all. You fell into this trap and allowed yourself to be vulnerable.

Love and appreciation of the Blessed Mother does NOT bring fear into our hearts…it brings confidence… The End days will have a “falling Away” please do not allow yourself to be carried away 🙂 by this current.

When God told the Isrealites to place the blood of the lamb on their doorposts so that they would be spared when the angel of death passed over, were they placing God into a “magicians box”?

I agree we should not fear but rejoice, in that we agree, but we must not be deceived into a false assurance when Jesus said, “if those days were not shortened even the elect would be decieved”? To me this means the true and the counterfeit will resemble each other so much that many will fall for the counterfeit and lose their souls.

Consider the maryters of the first few centuries and what they had to endure, they had to be faithful not to deny Christ under the greatest totures and pains, for to deny Him was to deny the Father, to deny the Trinity, and if that happened they would lose their soul, it was not easy I’m sure.

If Our lady or the saints tell us to keep blessed candles, why should we be so prideful and deny this, just take some candles and have them blessed, not a hard thing to do. Protestantism has such deep roots in the Catholic faith now and you see this mentality everywhere about “not putting God in a box”.

Of course is not out to get us, He loves us. However, when we willfully turn from Him or reject Him, then we sure better have fear in our hearts because that will be the only thing left to bring us back. Do not underestimate fear, you would not step off a the edge of a cliff because you would fear dying from the fall. Similarily, while the best way to approach God is through love, it is also fruitful to have a healthy fear of the Lord. In fact, I would go as far as to say that the problems we see in the world today can be greatly attributed to a huge loss of a fear of the Lord, people think of God as their neighbor, their buddy, not their all powerful God!

If there are 3 days or 30 days of darkness who cares.
There is a difference of TEN TIMES in the amount of water, food and supplies that would be needed between 3 days and 30 days where the “good will perish along with the wicked”.

His mercy is great but that does not do away with justice.🙂

I just try to stay focused on Jesus. Call me a doubting Thomas, my comformation name. I’m convinced that Nothing can seperate us from the Love of God, in Christ Jesus. I’m not obsessed over the gloom and doom promoted from all aspects of Christianity. I do believe In God’s Justice. I, personally, have to believe that his Mercy is stonger than his Justice. I’m not trivializing Justice. It’s very real. I just think that because God reveals himself in Love, we in turn want to love him. So many false prophets have “spoken” for God.

We have to be prepared. Noah built an ark in preparation for 40 days of rain. That’s a lot more effort than lighting a few blessed candles. The Lord wishes us to act this out as a monitor of our obedience and faith. A poster here called the candles. “silly,” but didn’t they say Noah was silly as well?🙂

Who can show me which are the really credible links here? I’ve been looking through the links, and so far they either look like sites that are extremely sensational or else sedevacantist.

Duct tape? Shades on all windows? Blessed bees wax candles? Matches-blesssed or unblessed? Enough water and food for three days? Blankets? Wow.

We cannot blot out God’s reckoning…"…vengeance is Mine, says the Lord…"

We are NOT talking about "Freddy Kruger or Michael Myers here…it is the NETHERWORLD…it is real and there are demons so vast in number they cannot be counted.

Look at the world today, what do you see? War, abortion, same-sex unions; surrogate motherhood, genetic engineering,God is taken out of public life, etc., etc.

A Chastisement from God is coming and believe it or not it (Chastisement) is an act of MERCY. So, have some blessed candles on hand, holy water and a prayer sheet with the “Hail Mary” if you have forgotten it.

“You” can separate yourself from God! No other person or thing can separate you from God, but you can!

Love Him, adore Him, worship Him, accept Him, embrace Him, and yes–fear Him.

Do not forget that Jesus (God) said that we should only fear the one who can destroy souls…that is God!

Sir Knight:You left out toilet paper, holy water (to bless the walls, ceilings and entry ways), and blessed objects (cross, scapular, rosary, etc.).
Yeah. I thought of that after I posted. 🙂

As per duct tape (actually, I should have said ‘adhesive paper’) and blankets, I don’t know which visionary the author is quoting here–he sites so many–but somebody thought you’d need it:
opusdeialert.com/3daysofdarkness.htm

As soon as you notice that bitterly cold night, go indoors, lock all doors and windows, pull down the blinds, stick adhesive paper on vents and around windows and doors. Do not answer calls from outside, do not look at the windows, or you will die on the spot: keep your eyes down to make sure you do not see the windows; the Wrath of God is mighty and no one should attempt to behold it. Light blessed wax candles; nothing else will burn, but the candles will not be extinguished once lit. Nothing will put them out in the houses of the faithful, but they will not burn in the houses of the godless. Sprinkle holy water about the house and especially in the vicinity of doors and windows: the devils fear holy water. Bless yourself with it and anoint your five senses with it: eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet, and forehead. Keep on hand a sufficient supply of drinking water and, if possible, food also (but you can live without food for three days.) Kneel down and pray incessantly with outstretched arms, or prostrate on the floor. Make acts of contrition, faith, hope, and charity. Above all say the Rosary and meditate on the Sorrowful mysteries.
Pax Christi,
Ann
