President Obama reversed the Mexico City policy on his first day in office, to make sure that funding of abortion could go to international organizations.
And if current law really bans federal funding of abortion, why was the President so adamantly unwilling to accept the Stupak Amendment to the health care law? Precisely because it would have banned fedeal funding of abortion. But the President would not accept the Stupak Amendment, and Stupak caved in, thus ensuring the oppostion of the USCCB to the health care bill which they had previously supported with that proviso.
This administration has been the most pro-abortion in history. Now we have the most pro-abortion HHS Secretary in history.

How has it been debunked? Every federal dollar that goes to Planned parenthood frees up another dollar to directly promote or provide an abortion. Lets say federal tax money does not go directly go to abortion, but what if it still funds lighting in the room where abortions takes place, all the money goes to the same place.

Trying to understand self-proclaimed Catholics loyal to the magisterium of the Church and their voting pro-abortion….i.e. not being single-issue voters, makes you go Hmmm…
Way back in the long ago when the civilized world (OK not so civilized but Christian Western World) when the Catholic Church was universal and most rulers were bullies who presided over individual fiefs with the King being only the head bully. The Church often laid tithes if you prefer taxes on folks and used the local constabulary to collect if necessary. The Church provided the hospitals, pantries, and orphanages for the local downtrodden, schools for the upper class kids and the occasional super bright commoner. It worked for a while, but along came the age of reason, followed by the national state and the Church lost revenue when it lost state sponsorship and tithes became voluntary. Its social missions suffered, reduced and/or curtailed depending on the ruler’s religious prejudice. Hence, the increasing plea of the secular world for having to do something for the downtrodden. OK I get it.
So, we have today, the need for the la religion de la souffrance humaine- universal regulation; where I suspect a lot of supporters of the Demopublican party come. Inevitably, their protestations about abortion being only one issue is merely a plea for voting job security as a state apparatchik, in ever expanding grasp of the ignorant too dumb to take care of themselves plebeians, who need to be told what to think and do. And I though conservatives were all about money.
I am not saying it is true for all but I an just saying…
