This is a hard read from Sandro. This is a bit heartbreaking.
This comment sounds like something the Inquisition would say.I would think only an enemy of the Pope would deny it.
Yes how very facist sounding. Because only an enemy would deny being an enemy. I’m not sure why he thinks we should take is argumant seriously.jagged:

Re- reading your post…this is what the most agressive comments do not seem to grasp. These writings might well be theologically sound and right on the mark. That is not the issue. T
See this is maybe your problem you link Catholic thought to political thought. Catholic teaching is neither left not right. It is either Orthodox or heterodox.Imdaman:![]()
It can be fascist sounding, except, in this case, it is a pretty clear effort to attract those who are nervous that the Pope does not seem to endorse their Republican politics as a natural extension of Church teachings. You get a few “catholic” propaganda sites to step in, begin feeding them what they want to hear (we’re the real Catholics, the Pope isn’t following Church teaching) and please, pretty please fill our coffers with your money. I’ve noticed LSN is trying to raise another few hundred thousand again. It helps if you tell people what they want to hear.Yes how very facist sounding. see next post for what I do for the poor!Imdaman:![]()
No, I am explaining how it comes across when it gets thrown out there. It really is as simple as I stated.Again you use emotion. I clearly did not say anything about me being right and you are wrong
No, it was clearly an emotional reponse. You using right and wrong verbage to dimiss what is orthodox vs. Heterodox is childish emotionalism nothing more.
Did I ever say that I don’t believe that the Church teaches that abortion isn’t always a grave evil? Did I ever say that I think abortion isn’t always a great evil? The trouble here is that you are imagining a conversation with me that isn’t occurring. **More emotionalism, I never accused you of anyting I asked you a question with a caveat that if you believe that the church is wrong than…! No accusations anywhere just a question! YOu are so emotional, see, now that is an accusation that is easily shown in your writiing. **Do you believe that the Church teaches that abortion isn’t always a grave evil? If you believe that then yes I suppose you are wrong but it is not because I’m right but the the Church is
So, how do you help the poor then? If you expect them to pull themselves up by the bootstraps, how do you support it? see below the quotes. I will do a general outline. No, just a logical formation of tring to help the poor.
Well, when you elect people like Trump, yes, it is inevitable that the government will disappoint as he has disappointed his three wives by his inability to stay faithful. So you have no examples of me ignoring Catholic social teaching. Only rude innuendo and hateful rhetoric towards Trump… more irrational emotive responses.I’ m sorry which Catholic social teaching have I ignored? Please explain, as it just seems to be more of your pre-teen emotional response rather than anything tangible about what I said. My response to Catholic Social issues speaks volumes and anyone that knows me will testify to the fact. I don’t sit and let govt do the work I and many of my fellow Christians work hard for the Lord. I pray that you do too. Because where govt inevitably disappoints we as the hands and feet of our Lord can only bring smiles to the faces of those we help.
I’ll grudgingly give you five points for that one. I chuckled into my coffee. They show up when you least expect them.
