See, this is just too absurd for me to contemplate. 🤷

Perhaps they have come to believe that, while Our Lady did indeed appear there, that much of the “details” of what she said was “in the mind” of Sister Lucy. Maybe, recognizing the problems with ecumenism that would result from following said details to the letter, they determined that it would be best not to follow the “alleged” request “to the letter” - indeed not required. Also, recognizing the huge worldwide following of Fatima, perhaps they thought it best not come out and say this exactly.

If this is the case, all of the accusations of those on the “no-concecration-yet” side could be accurate and yet the folks up at the Vatican are being honest as they see it in regards to the concecration being a done deal.

Just thinking out loud. Very confusing stuff.

Would you do the same thing with your biological father? Would you expect your children to blindly follow every statement you made as the Gospel truth? I asked before, but I’ll ask again:

And perhaps this has been the period of peace spoken of. Imagine being in a nuclear holocaust. Would be be having this discussion? Perhaps we have had a period of peace but didnt recognise it. During the 60s and 70s the world was threatened with nuclear disaster. It has been averted. All out war with its new and more deadly manner of killing has been averted. The localised “wars” however, have not.
But you know I have thought, whilst the world has been spared nuclear war, we have seen a more silent and equally deadly war. The war against “life” Abortion. Since Fatima the war against life has escalated to a degree unimagined in previous times. Billions of children have been killed before being born. Perhpas this this is our punishment (a coarsening or deadening of our spirit) for our disobedience and failure to hear the Word of God.

So September 11, 2001 is part of the “era of peace”. You have a very perverted sense of peace.

You actually think that nuclear disaster has been averted?? As long as there is nuclear missiles there were always be the threat of Nuclear War.

But that is only part of the problem. Our Lady promised PEACE TO THE WORLD, not just the aversion of a Nuclear Bomb. True Peace is not just the absence of conflict but the presence of JUSTICE. During World War 1 there was no Nuclear bombs at all. Would you say that was a period of peace?

You touched on about abortion. Abortion is the proof that the Consecration HASN’T been done. How can there be peace when HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS (100 000 000) babies are murdered every day?

As for what Sister Lucy said about it being done is irrelevant as it wasn’t Sister Lucy that promised peace to the World but Our Lady.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Consecration hasn’t been done.

Thank you for your sarcastic comment. :mad: You are looking at a single incidence and whilst very very tragic and I was up watching it in Australia as it happened and started praying for the people of America, it is still an incidence. You also omitted the Bali bombing in which 88 Australian people were killed, and other attrocities. I do not diminish the tragedies, but I was thinking more along the line of nuclear holocaust in which a large part of humanity would have perished and other part (who survived) would have wished to have perished.

It seems no small coincidence that shortly after the consecration in 1984 that the Soviet Union collapsed.

I consider myself moreso traditional in my leanings.
 
To many of us are taking Time Magazine and the CNNs of our time as fact and not what the church or the Pope has to say. It would be wise to honor and respect what they have to say and not be taken by attention getters from persons that have ratings to consider. Won’t be long that some of you will be making statues of Ann Coulter and bowing to it. Wake up and read the truth from people that live in the truth. Satan is lies and God is truth. I did not make that one up, scripture did.

Not a lie as much as Communist Infiltration of the Catholic Church!

In light of the current confusion and moral scandal in the Church,
it would be well to consider a neglected bit of recent Church history:
the public testimony of Bella Dodd, who served as legal counsel to the Communist Party
in the United States until her conversion to Catholicism,
after which she spent the rest of her life atoning for her role in the communist infiltration of the Catholic Church.

An article in Christian Order magazine (November 2000) recounts how
Bella Dodd and her associate, Douglas Hyde, revealed the plan for communist subversion of the Church:

Ex-Communist and celebrated convert Douglas Hyde
revealed long ago that in the 1930s the Communist leadership issued a worldwide directive about infiltrating the Catholic Church.
While in the early 1950s, Mrs. Bella Dodd was also providing detailed explanations of the Communist subversion of the Church.

Speaking as a former high ranking official of the American Communist Party, Mrs. Dodd said:
"In the 1930s we put eleven hundred men into the priesthood
in order to destroy the Church from within."

The idea was for these men to be ordained and progress
to positions of influence and authority as Monsignors and Bishops.
A dozen years before Vatican II she stated that:
“Right now they are in the highest places in the Church”
— where they were working to bring about change in order to weaken
the Church’s effectiveness against Communism.
She also said that these changes would be so drastic that
“you will not recognise the Catholic Church.”

So the 2800 people who got ground up into hamburger by two 110 story buildings should consider their deaths as being less violent than a nuclear bomb? So all of the people that have died in New York, London, Mardrid, Casablanca, Constantanople, etc. due to terrorism can now thank their lucky stars that they have died in the “era of peace” granted to the world. A truly warped view of the world’s situation. As can be safely stated the human intellect can totally destort reality from it IS to the exact opposite.

Our Lady promised PEACE to this world, not the aversion of a Nuclear War. Peace is so much more than just the aversion of a Nuclear War.

If I believed this was the “era of peace” I’d never put my trust in the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Communism hasn’t truly fallen, abortion is up, divorce is up, sin in general is up, crime is up, wars are continuing all over…how is this the “era of peace?” Communism (in formality) fell? What has changed?!

Is everyone here prepared for friday devotions tomorrow?

Everyone hear wearing their scapular and giving them out and promoting them? Green Scapulars and Miraculous Medals are mighty cheap - are we buying them and giving them out as well?

Are we all upholding OUR end of the bargain?

Are you Our Lady’s spokesperson? I don’t recall that the Laity had any responsibility to do the Consecration. It was the Pope and the Bishops in Union with him.

On the other hand, are YOU a bishop or Pope?

So being that we are laity and not the Pope and Bishops in Union with him, our part, is our part. Sitting around speculating about theirs is NOT our part.

Hello IndyAnn, do you also ask St Joseph to pray with you. You know he is fabulous intercessor. Probably the best there is.
He speaks to his “wife” and precious “son” Jesus for us and can you imagine these two saying no to Joseph. Nah cannot happen.
