Trayvon Martin: Before the world heard the cries

4th time’s the charm! I’ve asked this question several times, to no avail:

For those who think Zimmerman should be arrested, will they be satisfied that “justice” has been served, should the FBI, DOJ and special prosecutor determine that Zimmerman should NOT be charged?

We don’t need yet another summary of the suspicious moves by the authorities, the questionable actions, obvious blunders and bad history of the Sanford police that have led to the Police Chief being forced to resign.

I think any objective review of the facts call for the killer to be charged. Have you answered why you are so opposed to that?

Because to date, authorities that have access to more information than you or I (including the FBI and DoJ) haven’t determined that.

If they do, I am in no ways opposed to an arrest and trial.

Regardless of how you feel about the Sanford PD, or their handling of the case, it is being handled NOW by a special prosecutor, grand jury, the FBI, and DOJ.

Why are you so in favor of an arrest, if the facts don’t bear it out?

By “satisfied”, I mean, would you feel that the “justice” had been achieved that you pray for in post #53.

I believe justice will be served, either way, with the ongoing investigations. I’m not so sure others feel the same.

The operative word in your post is “appears to be”. Appearances can often be deceiving. I want justice as much as the next person, but far to much supposition has gone on about this incident with no facts. You have too many stirring up anger when they know nothing more than they have heard in the MSM which we now know has been doctored to fit presupposed “facts”. Why not pray for all involved and wait until the facts are brought to the fore. That would be the most honest and charitable thing to do.

Also, to call for justice is not to stir up anger. It’s no surprise that people are angry about this case. We are now anxiously awaiting justice from higher levels, but that doesn’t solve the problem at local levels all around the country. This tragedy is also a symbol of that.

There will be no justice whatever the feds decide to do:

Once the Feds. put you on their radar screen they will hound forever and eventually over charge to get a plea bargain. They have political patrons to make look good. If you don’t play ball with the federal prosecutors you can end up spending thousands to defend yourself and even if you win don’t expect them to say they’re sorry. Or recover your loses. The prosecutors being the guberment they never have to say they’re sorry.

It doesn’t matter one way or the other Zimmerman is probably toast

I’m tired of debating legal niceties, Zimmerman is morally guilty. Martin’s blood is on his hands.

What makes you think justice will be obtained at the federal level? This is after all the same justice department caught in numerous lies to cover it’s connections to the murders of several people since Obama became president.

It may be obvious to you but unless you were there you don’t know any more than the rest of us do. You are still relying on something other than the facts, because we do not know the facts as yet. You may be absolutely right, but at this time there are no facts to back up what you are saying. Would it not be more prudent to wait and see how it plays out?

Emotion always beats out fact, that’s why we have a justice system to make rational judgments based on the facts emotions can often cloud.

Is it always 100% - no – but I would be willing to bet it has a better track record than public opinion.

You may be absolutely right, but at this time there are no facts to back up what you are saying. Would it not be more prudent to wait and see how it plays out?

We know plenty of facts, and how it has played out so far is exactly what the problem is.

Yes, I agree. No matter his age, Trayvon was their baby. The quote from the beloved book (at least at my house it is beloved), Love You Forever by Robert Munsch, comes to mind. I cried when I first read it in the bookstore and I’ve cried when reading it ever since.

Will this happen to Zimmerman?

that is what i am afraid of and what i don’t want to see happen.

I’m not 100% sure what happened, either. Still sorting out the facts, and we aren’t privy to all the information the investigators have.

I would consider it just as unjust for an innocent man to be jailed as I would a guilty man go free.

Let’s pray that both sides of this issue can accept the investigations’ findings, whatever they might be, and hope there is no pressure to find a crime when one may not exist.
