OK, so you are not comfortable with assuming time that we do not know, but you are comfortable with assuming that Trayvon knew the man was armed.

There is a bias showing here. And it is not a bias toward the facts.

Over the pond people who kill generally get charged and arrested. You most certainly have a point with racial profiling, something we all need to understand why this happens and how to prevent it, could the country have a responsible discussion about it without the politicians interfering and spoiling it ? All I am saying is there are huge numbers of young people murdered, every one of these kids death is a tragedy and you especially should be concerned why only some make the headlines and not all.

Thanks for making the effort to understand. I do appreciate genuine exchanges of opinion. The problem becomes when the topic is race: many people either go silent or get defensive and if the discussion does not die, it can get really unproductive really fast. I think the problem lies with the failure of level heads to get out in front of issues and steer the debate on a level course. Instead, it seems that most people just want it all to go away: don’t attribute anything to race issue; don’t use the ‘r’ word; just pretend it doesn’t exist. That is not a productive way to deal with any contentious issue: you cover the pot but don’t take it off the heat, eventually passions boil over in not so nice ways.

I know we can do better and I’m hoping we find a way.
 
So anyway is Zimmerman located?

Or is the last story his attorneys who stated “emotionally crippled” by the racially charged case and may no longer be in control of his actions. :confused:

No that isn’t why it’s called castle law. The name alone does not define the parameters of the law.

Houston Chronicle: Texas law similar to ‘stand your ground’

Texas’ Castle Doctrine grants people the same protection as the “stand your ground” law that has come under fire in Florida in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting.

Rep. Garnet Coleman, D-Houston, spoke out against the law last week. He was among 13 who voted in 2007 against the law that made it easier for homeowners to claim self-defense when shooting an intruder. The law means that Texans are no longer have a “duty to retreat,” in the home or elsewhere, before using deadly force in self-defense situations.

“It can happen here. The law is the same - the law that protects the guy that shot Trayvon,” Coleman said.

I did not assume that he knew George was armed, * I allowed for the possibility* and took that into consideration of the various scenarios that could have unfolded: big difference.

Stopping and looking around are actions. Which is part of what Zimmerman reported to 911. There is nothing in the 911 call are anywhere else that indicates that the hoodie was of any significance other than an identifier, which was asked for by 911.

No, I do not believe you did.
However there is a quote I am working from that attempts to place the listener in the same place as Trayvon. And they include knowledge of the gun.

Stopping and looking around is projecting some sort of suspicious impression? Thankfully, where I live that sort of action is typical of people trying to get their bearings in an unfamiliar environment or simply someone* trying to determine if they are being followed*…

I hope the District Attorney’s office down there is a good one and they assemble good prosecuting attornery’s who are good at what they do and get a conviction. God only knows what type of civil disobedince that could result in the event Zimmerman is found not guilty.

To me, these “actions” seem entirely innocent.
I’m very geographically-challenged, even more so in the night and in the rain.

That article doesn’t even say anything. Oh, it says that as early as Wednesday, um yea today is Wednesday so that means nothing. Additionally this supposed source doesn’t know what the charge is.

I’ll wait for the press conference.
