Good golly, bubba sir, have they never heard of "Children’s Court held
in many jurisdictions for those who are MINORS, are CHILDREN, not adults?

The LAW (see I can yell too) put a 14 year old in prison for LIFE, after trying him as an ADULT. Ya’ know, the LAW?

Just like the media is using a picture from when he was 12, people calling him a child are doing so to invoke sympathy.

Only ADULTS must register for the draft -

There are NO 17 yr-old adults, other than emancipated minors.

That really bothers me. They use this baby-faced picture of a 12-year old, but then it turns out he was a handsome football player at 6’ 3", he was close to 18 y.o., and he beat up the other man real good.

I’s EMPHASIZING.

I said many posts ago that The Law can call a child an adult
if it chooses to do so when he/she is charged with a crime.

The LAW says Trayvon died as a CHILD.
Why do you think folks are so upset about his death???

“Close to” like “almost” only counts in horseshoes.
A boy was killed. Ir can not be argued otherwise.

Don’t be so judgemental. I’m sure there is a perfectly innocent explanation for all this.

Actually, it does matter. If Zimmerman’s story is the correct one, and if Martin had survived his assault on Zimmerman, it is likely he would have been tried as an adult.

So far, that’s all the story that exists.
The local police chief stepped aside
So did the local prosecutor.

When unrelated agencies have investigated,
then we will have a more comprehensive and instructive story.

Just saw that on a separate thread. The headline “Martin Attacked Zimmerman” is misleading. The witness describes hearing a call for help and seeing Martin on top of Zimmerman. So this witness saw part of Act 1, Act 1 being the Confrontation and Act 2 being the Shooting.

This is consistent with:

Zimmerman approaches Martin with an attitude, words are exchanged, then fists fly and Zimmerman gets the worst of it.

OR

According to Martin’s girlfriend he was scared about being followed so maybe he had a reasonable fear for his life/safety. Maybe he pre-emptively attacked Zimmerman in self-defense as soon as he approached.
Now it would be interesting if Martin had been armed and “stood his ground” against an approaching (perceived as) threatening Zimmerman.

In fact, much more has already been discussed including the fact that the legally relevant authorites, having revieed the evidence, elected not to prosecute.
